We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Crew Life Productions. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Crew Life Productions below.
Crew Life Productions, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
We came out with our first project titled “Crew Life Productions” Ep. This project was a lot of fun to create, half of the beats were produced in house which made it a lot more important to us. Through the time this project was made we all found how we worked and played off of each other well which made the music interesting. When you know what to expect from someone you may play off of their style and meld your own sound to fit theirs better. However when we created this project some of us were new to how we worked on tracks together which made everything come out with a unique sound, a “Crew Life” sound. The importance of a debut project is always one u want to patent your sound, I think we hit that.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Basically we’re a collective of artists and multi talented multifaceted individuals. We’re a big team but our quantity in numbers doesn’t take away from our quality in product we produce. Our production company ranges from Rap and Rnb Artists, to music engineers, videographer/photographers, producers and anything else really related to entertainment and visual/audio production. We’ve acquired a good following in our city from being in the “scene/culture” for a decade, but also for filming and producing for more artists around our city. We’ve taken a step back however from the business side and have been focusing solely on our own content since about 2020. All the artists on our team are constantly dropping their own music and collaborative music aswell. If your looking for rnb or all the way to something u can jump in a pit to, Crew Life Productions holds a wide variety of entertainment to keep you busy for a while. From music to visuals, vlogs and live streams, Crew Life is really a platform, a launching pad for our artists to have everything they need to take off.
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
I don’t think anyone can truly understand anyone else’s journey completely. We all walk different paths and even within our own circle we all have different struggles we deal with separately. Like anything I’d tell the readers to approach Crew Life with an open mind and open ear. We provide something for everyone, u can catch a glimpse of who each artist is through their music, their thoughts, their struggles. It takes a lot to place yourself at peoples disposal in a sense, I think that’s something non-creatives can understand. Everything we do now a days is instant and it’s everywhere.I think what makes it harder for a creative, your either instantly supported for your product or instantly thrown away, and that’s something we deal with everytime we release something, everyday.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
It’s simple, someone appreciating your art. Although truthfully, accepting compliments on your work is a weird feeling, a humble artist understands. Just to see someone react honestly to our work or our music and genuinely enjoying it is the most rewarding feeling.
