We were lucky to catch up with Craig Syracusa recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Craig, thanks for joining us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
The project that holds the most significance for me is the creation and hosting of my show, Walk in Faith, which I’ve been doing for nearly a decade. Through this platform, I’ve had the privilege of interviewing some of the most prominent celebrities in the world. Sharing their stories and journeys has not only left a profound impact on my life but has also resonated deeply with my viewers.

Craig, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I realize that many of you may not be familiar with my work, so allow me to introduce myself and explain why you should continue reading this interview. My name is Craig Tubiolo, and some of you may know me from my talk show Walk in Faith, where I also go by Craig Syracusa. I’m from Brooklyn, NY, long before it became trendy and cool. I was raised in the small Italian neighborhood of Bensonhurst by my parents alongside my siblings. From a young age, I was captivated by the world of film and television. I began performing in school plays and musicals, eventually leading me to pursue acting training and later transitioning into production.
My passion for film and TV has always been a priority. However, over the course of my career, my motivations and intentions have evolved. Initially, my focus was on creating content that would propel me towards fame and fortune, rather than aligning with my true calling and purpose.
While I did produce a few documentaries with genuine intentions, my overarching goal was driven by a desire for wealth and celebrity status, fueled by insecurities and greed. In essence, I was prioritizing the desires of the flesh over those of the spirit.
Yet, there came a point when I could no longer ignore the inner turmoil within my soul, compelling me to answer the call of my true purpose.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I have a deep appreciation for the term “pivot.” In this industry, I often hear advice like “there is no plan B” “never give up,” or “you must ‘burn your boats’ to succeed.” While these phrases may evoke an initial emotional response, that feeling tends to fade quickly, much like frost on a windowpane. It’s challenging to uphold the notion of “no plan B” when faced with months of overdue rent and a slowdown in work. So, I’ve adopted a pivot mentality. I continually pivot to redirect myself toward the goal that God has prepared for me.
When I first entered this industry over 20 years ago, I defended my “no plan B” mentality. However, I came to realize that pivoting or changing course isn’t giving up—as long as I remain true to my calling.
I’ve learned to identify my true calling, whether it’s communication or content creation, which offers more flexibility and opportunities than narrowly defining myself as solely an actor or director. By embracing this mindset, I remain open to various opportunities that may arise.
I’m constantly pivoting and evolving, but I always return to a fundamental question: Who am I? Not merely what I do. By honestly answering this question, and regardless of how often I need to pivot, I stay aligned with my purpose.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I’ve embraced the concept of being comfortable with discomfort, always anticipating the next steps and opportunities in an industry where nothing is guaranteed. I understand that while God may be guiding my path and opening doors for me, it’s also essential for me to actively seek out opportunities. Sometimes, doors need to be pushed or at least nudged a little.
My life and career have been characterized by transitions, adversity, and moments of waiting. If you’re not weathering some sort of storm, it might be worth pausing to reassess your direction. In my experience, every successful individual I’ve interviewed has faced their share of challenges. The difference lies in their willingness to persevere despite the urge to quit. It’s that inner drive that propels them forward, enabling them to reach their destined goals.
