We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Craig Knoble a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Craig, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
Watching Denzel Washington in Malcolm x at seven years old I remember his performance was so powerful it left a everlasting impact in my life

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Im from South Philadelphia I was raised by my loving grandparents Morris Layton and Laura Knoble. How i became a actor wasn’t the conventional way like other actors I had got into some trouble and my life was heading in two directions death or jail for the rest of my life I realize I didn’t want that to be my destiny so I prayed to God and asked him to not only saved my life but lead my footsteps that’s when I seen a vision of myself performing on television like the greats and decided to become a actor. The discipline for me is to be better then I was yesterday I spend countless hours perfecting my art looking over old self tapes of myself and others studying greats finding new ways to engage the audience with my performance. What sets me apart from most is I never settle im always striving to achieve more its a obsession that never goes away I want to work with the best I want to become the best when it is all said and done
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
To show people that may have the same upbringing and backstory like myself that there’s no ceiling when you trust and rely on god. My mission is to elevate my people with my talents to give back to my community and inspire
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Entertaining my audience nothing is more satisfying to me then that its a great feeling as a actor when you have someone watch you on tv and say they loved that character you played and having them want more from you
