The inHarmony community is on a mission to revolutionize America’s approach to mental, physical, and spiritual well-being by helping users reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep and mood, relieve muscle tension and chronic pain, and increase focus and mental clarity. We hope the inHarmony legacy will be to improve the human condition and share the benefits of vibroacoustic and vibration therapy with the world. The first product was the inHarmony Sound Lounge (2016) followed by the inHarmony Practitioner (2018). The Sound Lounge is our most immersive experience; ideal for home or office. The Practitioner resembles a massage table and was built specifically to augment bodywork and hands-on modalities with vibration therapy.
The last few years have been pivotal because inHarmony has been growing rapidly as a lifestyle brand. There have already been three brand extensions. First, inHarmony Meditation Cushion – the most affordable option, perfect for personal/home use, which was issued a patent by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Second, inHarmony: Music Meditations App – gateway to all tech specific therapeutic music. Third, the Record Label, inHarmony Media launched in 2023.
The inHarmony brand is growing to provide a unique and immersive experience to everyone and I hope my legacy will be to improve people’s lives through vibroacoustic therapy.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hello. I’m Craig Goldberg, Co-Founder of inHarmony Interactive and I am grateful to share more about the origin story with you. What better way to bring you into the community than to share more about our family and how I became passionate about the world of vibroacoustic therapy.
About ten years ago Ipek, my wife, began showing signs of illness. For over six months we went to Doctor after Doctor, Specialist after Specialist, and no one could tell us what was wrong. I cannot even tell you how many tests and appointments we had with results coming back normal. All to say, they did not know what was going on.
After months of not being able to figure out what was causing her to feel sick, we had a close friend suggest removing gluten from our diet because the symptoms could be caused by a gluten sensitivity. This pesky little ingredient we now know so much about was causing her body to become inflamed. Three days without gluten and sure enough, all of her symptoms went away. This led to a deep dive into the body and how it operates. This research opened the door for my journey into the mind-body connection, mindfulness, and wellness.
Fast forward a few years and our entire family eats gluten free. My wife, Ipek, is feeling so much better. But there is another twist to the story that’s equally important to my drastic career and lifestyle change.
When we initially switched to gluten free there was an unforeseen complication with my health and my energy started to decline. After a few months of struggling I woke up on a Sunday morning and I started doing research about food. My first key learning was that I was feeling worse because my body was detoxing after cutting out gluten.
The second key learning was about genetically modified organisms (GMO’s). I watched a documentary called “Genetic Roulette” and after taking notes and fact checking what I learned, I realized just how many foods we were eating and products we were using that were genetically modified.
These two truths compelled us to go through our entire house and get rid of all of the harmful products we were using and foods we were eating. We went vegan and organic and were extremely strict with our diet – as extreme as bringing our own food everywhere we went. We changed everything and started eating clean, finding replacements for products we were using that had harmful ingredients in them. This is how we were introduced to essential oils…and then…vibroacoustic therapy.
As you may know, essential oils have many benefits on the body and we became voracious to learn everything there was to know about them.
We were now deep in our health and wellness journey and wanted to share our knowledge with the people around us. We started traveling to teach and educate others about the efficacy of essential oils and how they help the body interact with the nervous system.
While we were traveling teaching about essential oils, I was constantly drawn to the sound baths at the conferences we attended. I wanted to be able to recreate this feeling in the comfort of my own home to have “sound therapy on tap.”
After a conference, I went back home, took a 5.1 stereo system, laid down on the floor in the starfish position, surrounded my body with speakers and cranked up the music to try and recreate that feeling.
At this point I knew that I wanted to continue to try to recreate this feeling, but I didn’t have the right technology. Soon after this, I connected with Business Partner, Dominic Carnevale, and had my first Sound Lounge experience. Half way through my session, I took the headphones off and realized he had recreated exactly what I was looking for.
Since then, Dom and I have been working together, supporting one another and building the beautiful inHarmony community of like-minded, exceptional human beings, on a quest for optimal human performance.
inHarmony manufactures tech-assisted meditation furniture which deliver music, frequency, vibration and sound through a catalog of original “Music Meditations” to quickly and comfortably put users into a state of deep relaxation. Inside our furniture are custom made tactile transducers which when paired with headphones and/or speakers, immerse the user’s entire body into the experience. What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
inHarmony has a close relationship with our audience and there are multiple opportunities to connect personally with the community. Our customers are loyal and each person who uses inHarmony technology is important to us. Below outlines five areas where inHarmony has shown exceptional creativity in supporting, engaging, and growing our clients.
First, we host a private Telegram user group. Through Telegram we support our new and existing users through a private and free group chat. Upon purchase, owners receive an email inviting them to our private group. In this group, people can ask questions, share and interact with other inHarmony tech owners and users. We also make announcements, ask for feedback and let our community know what’s happening at inHarmony Corporate.
Second, I go live on YouTube at least once per week. During these live sessions updates are provided on a range of topics from inventory and manufacturing to event recaps, press releases, music releases, app stability, tech support, meditation tips, education, open discussion, and more.
Third, inHarmony has frequent events and invites people to experience the technology. I am often at these events to provide personal one-on-one direction about how the technology works. Attendees are invited to participate in a meditation session on the inHarmony technology. We also offer virtual product demonstrations along with regular live stream opportunities to share with the benefits of the inHarmony technology and create a deeper connection with our consumers.
Fourth is the highly engaged team of 400+ affiliates that meet weekly, communicate actively through Telegram, and get together regularly as a supportive community.
Fifth, I put my personal cell phone at the top of each website page and encourage prospective customers and existing customers to call me anytime. This has encouraged relationship building and lets each person know how much we care about their wellness journey.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
The inHarmony brand is unique and our reputation is critical because we are using technology to change peoples lives for the better. There are lots of studies now that show that modern technology (such as cell phones) is stealing our time and attention. In addition, our society has a heightened awareness of health and wellness following the pandemic. We’re seeing an increase in the need for products, services, and activities that address the impacts of stress, anxiety, depression, fatigue, mood swings, and more.
All three of the inHarmony furniture products deliver fast and effective benefits to the whole body. Within seconds of sitting on the inHarmony Meditation Cushion or laying down on the inHarmony Sound Lounge or inHarmony Practitioner you’ll experience a deeply centering mind-body experience. It’s unique that inHarmony offers products for both B2B and B2C audiences. Initially, the inHarmony Sound Lounge and inHarmony Practitioner were purchased primarily by professional healthcare practitioners. In 2021 inHarmony successfully kept this loyal business customer base while simultaneously expanding to the additional target of personal consumers primarily for at-home use.
As a leader in vibro-tactile stimulation and vibroacoustic therapy, it’s noteworthy that our products are the most powerful on the market and that we continue to invest into therapeutic music with a new record label: inHarmony Media. The original music features a distinctive blend of progressive, edgy guitar riffs and arpeggiations. Sound therapy promotes physical and psychological healing by putting your body into a parasympathetic state, where our bodies can naturally repair and heal.
Expanding the inHarmony brand into a music label is an important step in supporting the mission of improving the human condition and sharing the benefits of vibroacoustic and vibration therapy with the world.
