We were lucky to catch up with Courtney Turner recently and have shared our conversation below.

Courtney, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?

Being successful is to be determined by what success looks like to the individual. For me success looks like understanding your value, walking in true confidence, being vulnerable enough to admit when you need help and knowing your opportunities. When you are self aware enough to know anything. You want you can have and work for it.

As a luxury and experienced makeup artist in Charlotte NC, I specialize in creating SKIN like finishes on the canvas of every day women.

I’m a dedicated service professional that believes in committing my best to my clients and providing exceptional service with the utmost professionalism. Trained by talented industry professionals has given me the opportunity and experience needed to create timeless and classic looks. My energetic personality, attention to detail and confidence boosting sessions are what I inspire to keep and retain new and returning clients.

Creating memories and positive experiences with my clients is what I’m all about

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

Trusting my instinct and intuition as a creative has been super rewarding for me. For years I questioned my ability and talent for doing makeup and wasn’t confident in my artistry. Until I started noticing that a lot of the new “trends” I was doing in my younger years were getting popular I knew I was onto something. I have a great eye for beauty and being able to trust that has been amazing.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

One day I would like to be a director of a major beauty campaign!
