We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Courtney Sharp a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Courtney, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
I hope to leave behind a meaningful business. A small business that my two boys will take pride in operating.
FancyCreativez provides mostly custom t-shirts & cups that allow people to be expressive in their own way.
Entrepreneurship is so important! If I can leave behind a business that my children can takeover with joy, my heart would be full.

My name is Courtney & I started FancyCreativez in 2020 during the pandemic. My first born was about 2 months old, I was on maternity leave from work, and I needed a hobby that allowed me to remove myself from “mommy mode” for an hour or so throughout the day!
I started making custom tshirts, masks, & cups and would post them on Facebook for my family & friends to see. More so because I was proud, it wasn’t even about making a profit.
So many people shared my projects and even wanted to purchase their own custom merchandise.
I will say, the pandemic gave everyone a lot of freetime to be on social media. I defintely believe that helped FancyCreativez to take interest to people quicker than the usual time it takes for social media engagement.
The mission of FancyCreativez is to allow people to be expressive & to create custom merchandise with a purpose. Whether that’s placing “Boy Mom” on a tumbler or “Have Faith” on a tshirt.
I love hearing someone’s story and you can find out so much about a person by creating custom merchandise for them.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I remained authentic. I used hashtags that were relative to my business & I always ask for customers to follow us on Instagram & Facebook.
Reviews are also important. It’s essential to have a great online presence so be sure to always ask your happy customers to leave a review.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Word of mouth. That has helped me tremendously! I take pride in providing great customer service and customers are usually always recommending my services to others.
