We recently connected with Courtney Miller and have shared our conversation below.
Courtney, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with a story that highlights an important way in which your brand diverges from the industry standard.
One of the things that sets my travel business apart from the industry standard is the relationships I build with my clients. Before I ever became a travel advisor, I had both good and bad experiences working with other agents. Some never followed up, leaving me to chase them down with questions or concerns. Others were efficient in booking my trip, but the process felt purely transactional—there was no excitement, no real investment in my experience. I had saved my hard-earned money for these trips, put in the time and effort to plan, and yet, I never felt like anyone truly cared about making my vacation special.
So when I started my own travel business, I made a promise to do things differently. I don’t just book trips—I step into the planning process with my clients, matching their excitement, listening to their concerns, and making sure they feel heard and valued. I always say I want to be the “third wheel” in this process, not just an agent behind a screen sending emails. I celebrate with them when we lock in their dream vacation, I help ease any worries along the way, and I’m genuinely invested in their experience.
For me, travel planning isn’t just about logistics—it’s about creating unforgettable moments. My clients aren’t just another booking; they’re part of my adventure crew, and I make sure they feel that every step of the way.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m Courtney Miller with Courtney’s Crazy Amazing Adventures, and I’ve partnered with Main Street Travel Agency for the past three years. Last year, out of over 3,000 agents in my agency, I hit Elite status—placing me in the top 1% of my company. To me, that confirms that my relationship-based approach to travel planning is truly making an impact! I specialize in helping families plan stress-free, unforgettable vacations.
My journey into the travel industry started in a way that many parents can probably relate to—I became obsessed with making sure my own family’s Disney World trip was perfect. As a single-income family, I had to stick to a strict budget, but I didn’t want to miss out on the magic just because of financial limits. So, I poured three years of research into planning that trip—watching vlogs, reading blogs, mastering the app, and creating a strategy that ensured we got the most out of every dollar spent. When we finally went, everything came together seamlessly, and it was hands-down one of the most amazing vacations we’ve ever had.
After that, I realized I had all this hard-earned knowledge and a real passion for making travel easier and more exciting for other families. That’s when I looked into becoming a travel advisor, and from there, my business took off. I started with Disney, then expanded into Universal, and now I specialize in all-inclusive resorts and cruises as well.
What sets me apart? I take a relationship-first approach to travel planning. I don’t just book vacations—I jump into the process with my clients. I match their excitement, listen to their concerns, and make sure their trip is customized to their family’s needs. I know how overwhelming travel planning can be, and I take that stress off their plate so they can focus on making memories. My goal is always to make vacations as seamless and stress-free as possible while ensuring families get the most value out of their trip.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Building an audience on social media—especially in the Disney travel space—wasn’t easy because, let’s be honest, it’s an oversaturated market. There are tons of people out there sharing Disney content, and for good reason—people love it! So I had to figure out how to stand out.
For me, that meant creating a mix of relatable and informative content. I don’t just post facts and tips—I bring my personality into it. Yes, I make funny reels where I might look a little silly, but if you can’t laugh at yourself, you’re missing out on a lot of joy! People connect with authenticity, and that’s what I bring to my audience.
More than anything, my followers know they’re getting the real truth from me. If I visit a destination, they can trust that I’ll give them my honest opinions—the good, the bad, and whether something is actually worth the money. They know I’ll share insider tips that make their trips smoother and help them get the most value out of their vacations. Whether it’s Disney, Universal, a cruise, or an all-inclusive resort, I don’t just tell people what they want to hear—I tell them what they need to know.
My advice for those starting out? Be real, be consistent, and be willing to put yourself out there. People don’t just follow information; they follow people—so let your personality shine through! And most importantly, always bring value to your audience. Whether that’s through entertainment, education, or both, give people a reason to keep coming back.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
I love this question because, for so many people, once a trip is booked and taken, that’s the end of the interaction until they’re ready to plan the next one. But I changed that.
I created a private Facebook group exclusively for my clients and future travelers. It’s more than just a travel page—it’s a community. It’s a place where we share insider information, exclusive deals from my suppliers, funny travel stories, epic vacation fails, and tips that make future trips even better. But more importantly, it’s about forming real relationships—not just between me and my clients, but between clients themselves.
This group keeps us connected long after the vacation ends. My clients engage with me and each other, ask questions, share experiences, and celebrate upcoming trips. It’s a space where travel lovers can come together, and that sense of community is what fosters loyalty. When my clients are ready to plan their next adventure, they already know they have someone they trust (and a whole crew cheering them on!).
By staying engaged, accessible, and genuinely invested in my clients’ experiences, I ensure that booking a trip isn’t just a transaction—it’s the start of an ongoing relationship. And that’s what truly sets my business apart.
