We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Courtney Kimble a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Courtney, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Looking back, do you think you started your business at the right time? Do you wish you had started sooner or later
You know, I’ve sometimes wondered if I should’ve started my business earlier, like a lot of other folks in the game. But looking back, I’ve realized that every step of the journey has its own timing. Each experience, whether it’s a win or a stumble, has sort of prepped me for what comes next. It’s like life’s been giving me these sneak peeks into what I needed to learn before diving into the next big thing.
At 8 years old, I decided I wanted to be a boss when I grew up. I didn’t know the how or the what but I knew CEO’s went to school and got degrees.
Fast forward to 16, I’m an orphaned emancipated minor graduating from high school a year early. I spent 4 years at a community college, working two jobs, & two more years at a university to get my degree.
While that degree got me a “real” job, I wasn’t a boss, and it didn’t pay the bills, so I took a leap and left.
Another failed attempt at a 9-5, I started bartending. It felt like a step backward, but I decided to embrace this season, earn money, travel, and figure out my future later.
Two years into bartending, I stumbled upon network marketing. This was my chance to be my own boss, but I wasn’t into the traditional network marketing methods. 3-way calls, coffee dates, and parties weren’t for me. So, I decided to start marketing online.
What I found was a lot of network marketers using social media the wrong way. I saw an opportunity, I wanted to teach them the right way, and that was building a brand online.
In 2019, I began selling $33 ebooks & offering 1:1 coaching for $297. I had so many 1:1 clients but was still nowhere near matching my income bartending.
I knew I had to commit fully if I wanted this business to be something real & sustainable. That’s when I hired my first coach & fully shifted into business coaching.
I showed up every single day creating content, hosting livestreams, masterclasses, challenges, networking, launching and selling my offers. I kept investing in coaching and in 2021, I hired my first team member. Together, we streamlined systems, set up automations, & launched a full rebrand.
October 2021, we crossed the 6-figure mark. Today, the business has generated over 500K and keeps growing. It hasn’t been easy, but I’m here because I committed to something bigger than myself. I invested in mentors, education, & my business. I showed up even when no one was watching. I took steps without knowing where they would lead, and I believed in others as much as I believed in myself.
My business is what’s possible when you believe & decide, and I’m just getting started.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Building relationships played a pivotal role in establishing my reputation within my market. By prioritizing genuine connections and nurturing meaningful interactions with clients, peers, and industry influencers, I was able to earn trust and credibility over time. These relationships not only led to valuable collaborations and referrals but also helped me gain insights into the needs and preferences of my target audience, enabling me to tailor my services and offerings more effectively. Ultimately, investing in relationships has been instrumental in solidifying my presence and positioning me as a trusted authority in my industry.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Social media has been the best source of new clients for me. By leveraging platforms like Instagram and TikTok, I’ve been able to connect with a wide audience and showcase my expertise and offerings. Through consistent engagement, valuable content creation, and strategic networking, I’ve attracted clients who resonate with my message and need my services. Social media also allows me to create an international business, expanding my client base and driving my growth over the years. The power of social media has been instrumental in continuously bringing in new clients and fostering meaningful relationships within my network.
