We recently connected with Courtney Eagle and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Courtney thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Success in the luxury bridal makeup industry is built on a combination of talent, passion, and a relentless commitment to delivering excellence every single time. However, it’s also about creating a truly memorable experience for each client. In my experience, the emotional and personal connections I form with brides are just as important as the technical skill behind the makeup. When a bride feels beautiful, confident, and heard, that’s when the magic happens—and that’s what makes my job so rewarding.
One story that stands out happened early in my career. I had a bride who was very nervous about her wedding day, not because of the wedding itself but because she was worried about her appearance. She had tried different makeup looks before and had never felt comfortable or like herself. On her trial day, she arrived with a bit of hesitation, unsure of what the final look would feel like. I spent time listening to her concerns, showing her various options, and making sure she felt understood. We found a look that complemented her natural beauty, but more importantly, we created a space where she felt truly at ease. When she looked in the mirror after I finished her makeup, her face lit up with a mix of relief and joy, and she thanked me for making her feel like herself again.
That moment really shaped my view of success: it’s not just about creating the perfect makeup—it’s about making someone feel like the best version of themselves, and giving them the confidence to shine on one of the most important days of their life. The technical side is crucial, but the emotional connection is what sets you apart in a field where trust and understanding are everything.
This philosophy of success has helped me not only to build my skill set but also to build long-lasting relationships with my clients. Word of mouth has been key to my growth. Brides who had memorable experiences with me often return for other special occasions, or recommend me to their friends and family. Success, for me, is about consistently exceeding expectations and making people feel confident in their beauty—inside and out.

Courtney, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hi- I’m Courtney, the founder and lead artist of Eagle & Co Beauty, a luxury bridal makeup business that specializes in creating timeless, flawless looks for brides on their wedding day. I’ve always had a passion for beauty, but it wasn’t until I experienced the transformative power of makeup firsthand that I realized I wanted to pursue it professionally. After years of honing my craft and studying with some of the best makeup artists in the industry, I decided to build my own business focused on one thing: making brides feel absolutely stunning and confident on their special day.
What makes my approach unique is that I’m not just focused on creating a beautiful makeup look—I’m dedicated to creating a personalized experience. Every bride is different, and I believe in taking the time to truly understand her vision, her personality, and what makes her feel the most beautiful. This is why I offer a customized approach to each client, using only the highest-quality, long-lasting products that are perfect for their skin type, tone, and wedding-day needs.
The services I offer include bridal makeup for the big day, as well as trials, touch-ups, and bridal party makeup. I also provide specialized services for events leading up to the wedding, such as engagement shoots or pre-wedding celebrations. In addition, I offer skincare consultations, as I believe healthy, glowing skin is the perfect canvas for any makeup look. The main problem I solve for my clients is ensuring they feel completely at ease, not only with their makeup but also with the entire process leading up to their wedding. I want them to feel pampered and cared for, knowing they can trust me to deliver a flawless look that will last throughout their day, no matter what emotions or challenges it may bring.
What sets me apart is the combination of artistry and customer care. In the luxury bridal makeup space, there are many talented artists, but the personal connection I build with my clients is something that goes beyond just applying makeup. Brides come to me looking for more than a beautiful face—they want someone they can trust to listen to their needs, ease their nerves, and provide them with a seamless, enjoyable experience on one of the most important days of their lives. I pride myself on being not just a makeup artist, but a calming, supportive presence that helps my brides feel their absolute best.
I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve built over the years with my clients. Many of them come back for other special occasions or recommend me to their friends and family. There’s nothing more rewarding than receiving a heartfelt thank-you note or hearing how happy a bride was with her experience. Being part of a bride’s special day is an honor, and I never take it for granted.
What I want potential clients and followers to know about my brand is that it’s all about quality, luxury, and experience. From the moment you book with me to the final look on your wedding day, my goal is to provide you with a personalized, stress-free, and memorable experience. I am deeply committed to helping every bride feel beautiful, confident, and like the best version of themselves. When my clients look in the mirror and feel like the most stunning version of themselves, I know I’ve done my job right.
In a nutshell, my brand is built on trust, artistry, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. My clients know that they are in good hands and can relax, knowing that their makeup will be perfect and they’ll feel beautiful every step of the way.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Building my reputation has largely come from the referrals and word-of-mouth recommendations from the amazing brides I’ve had the privilege of working with. Early on, I made it my priority to not only deliver a flawless makeup look, but to create a memorable experience that would leave brides feeling confident, beautiful, and stress-free. When a bride feels cared for and truly listens to, she’ll tell her friends and family about it—and that’s exactly what happened.
The personal connections I build with each client have been the foundation of my reputation. Brides often refer me to their friends, and I’ve even had clients come back for their anniversaries or other special occasions. These referrals have been invaluable, and I believe they’re a reflection of the trust I’ve built. I also make sure to exceed expectations at every step—whether it’s going the extra mile during a makeup trial or offering last-minute touch-ups on the big day.
In an industry like mine, trust and personal experience are everything. I’m proud that my brides feel confident enough in my work to recommend me to others, and I’m always grateful for the loyalty and support of my clients.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
Several resources have significantly shaped my entrepreneurial thinking:
1. “The E-Myth Revisited” by Michael E. Gerber– This book taught me the importance of creating systems to work on my business, not just in it. It helped me streamline processes and focus on scaling rather than trying to do everything myself.
2. “Start with Why” by Simon Sinek– Sinek’s concept of identifying *why* you do what you do has shaped my brand philosophy. It reminded me that connecting emotionally with clients is more powerful than just selling a service.
3. “Big Magic” by Elizabeth Gilbert– This book encouraged me to embrace creativity without fear of failure. It gave me the confidence to experiment with new ideas and approaches in my work, knowing that creativity thrives in a space of freedom.
4. “The Lean Startup” by Eric Ries– Ries’ principles of testing and iterating helped me apply a more flexible, data-driven approach to my marketing and business strategies, making it easier to adapt and grow.
5. Amy Landino’s YouTube Channel– Her tips on marketing and time management have helped me focus on building my personal brand through engaging video content, especially on social media.
These resources have guided me in systematizing my business, staying true to my values, and continually evolving to better serve my clients.
