We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Courtney Cole. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Courtney below.
Alright, Courtney thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
During Covid 2020 we were laid off at a high-end Medspa just temporarily. This time really gave me the opportunity to marinate on the idea of starting my own business. I started painting during the quarantine and realized that was another extension of my passions. I ultimately wanted to have a Studio where I could incorporate everything that I do. Looking back, it was a big risk but it could not have all come together more perfectly.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I am a medical aesthetician with a background in results oriented treatments. I also have a very creative, artistic side. I am a permanent makeup artist and tattoo artist and I specialize in permanent cosmetics. I have an internal love Of helping others find internal peace and external beauty. I’ve discovered that writing and painting are very healing and from both of those I get great satisfaction. I offer results oriented facial treatments including Hydro dermabrasion, high intensity ultrasound, micro needling and advanced chemical peels. I also specialize in Microblading, micro shading, combo brows, lip blushing, BB glow and many other semi permanent treatments. I offer tiny tattoos, hair removal. I also sell my artwork, including art merchandise and a poetry book that I have written in my studio.

How did you build your audience on social media?
Social media did presents a little bit of a challenge. However, I had an amazing creative marketing Director who guided me and we traded services to give each other an incentive. She really helped me to understand how important it is to brand yourself and be visible. This has been one of my biggest challenges since I’m so busy in the treatment room.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Starting a business at the beginning of a pandemic definitely presented challenges. I was so driven and motivated I’m looking back I see that the unfolding of my journey was magical. Truly, when you are following your purpose and your passion doors open and things flow. And that is exactly what happened with me and I’m grateful!!!
