Courtney , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
Sprinkle of Glam was originated because of my past. As I got older I started lacking confidence, had low self esteem because I allowed people to tell me who I was and that I’m not pretty, I would never be nothing etc. When I came up with this idea I knew that this could be something more then just making money. It was all about empowering other women to bring out the beauty, boldness and confidence, that was buried deep within covered with a bunch of negativity that caused them to have low self esteem.

Courtney , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I work a full time job, 36 years old, born and raised in Dallas. I always wanted to do something that would encourage women and empower them to be bold and beautiful and confident all at the same time.
I’m the CEO of Sprinkle of Glam were our motto is All you need is a Sprinkle of Glam. Beauty, Bold and Confidence. We are all amazing individuals made by God, sometimes we just need that kick to bring out the beauty in us. That’s why Sprinkle of Glam is here, we have had many people say that they don’t like lashes or don’t think they look right in lashes cause of what people have said, but when they get a taste of sprinkle of glam they feel so confident and even more bold and more gorgeous as ever.
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
Funding my business came from my 9-5. No loans, no grants just worked to get the money I needed to begin. So every time I got paid I put back ten dollars here and then if I could increase I would. I started off buying small quantities made profit and then reinvested back into my business to be able to up the quantity especially if the product was selling like hotcakes. The first year don’t expect to pay yourself, you are just getting started. Every profit I made went back into my business until I got everything I needed, from laptop to label printer etc. Even now I still reinvest cause it’s so much more I want to do with Sprinkle of Glam

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
When you are trying to build your social media, one thing for sure you have to be consistent: you need to at least post 2-3 times a day. They have ways especially on Instagram that you can schedule a post. You also want to look at when people are actively on social media to see when the best time to make your post. If you want to start with Instagram use the correct hashtags that will also bring more people to look at your page. Building social media audience can be hard but the keyword is consistent and engaging. Let people see you are out there. It may seem hard but once you get started everything will be ok. Going live whether Facebook or Instagram, also helps build relationships with your audience and turn them into customers. Don’t count the likes, because there’s always someone watching. Just cause you got 2 likes there’s at least 20 people that saw your post they just didn’t like. So continue to be consistent on all social media platforms. There’s eyes everywhere
