Alright, Courtnee thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s the best or worst investment you’ve made (either in terms of time or money)? (Note, these responses are only intended as entertainment and shouldn’t be construed as investment advice)

The best investment is investing in yourself. Your dreams and passions are no mistake, so don’t be cheated out of it by the fears of other people’s stories, opinions, and perspectives. Not knowing how things might’ve turned out because of fear is way worst then the obstacles and being told “no” on the way to that one “yes” needed. Just go for it!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I’m a writer of various literatures : music, movies, books, plays, etc. I started very young around 8 years old. I used writing as way to express my emotions, as an outlet, and to reflect on my life. Some of my latest and fulfilling work includes the album “Upward Onward” by Courtnee Ricole found on varied Platforms. As well as being able to work with great producers and directors like Stars Network and Tyler Perry. The things I’m most proud of is how I’ve allow myself to walk by faith and having become discipline enough to shift career paths in my 20s; taking a chance on myself isn’t always easy but certainly worth it.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

Being authentic. It is totally okay to be unapologetically who you are. Who’s you’re designed to be.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

A lesson I had to learn and honestly still working on daily is perfection is unreal. Nothing or no one is perfect, right. So, why place myself on this pedal-stool to overachieve. It’s hard to satisfy. Of course, always do your best and let that be it.
