We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Courtlin Murphy a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Courtlin , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
I was in a legal situation back in 2016 that changed EVERYTHING!! Living as a black man in America with 3 serious felony charges was not easy. I experienced getting declined and rejected more times than I can remember, before the charges, that was unheard of for me.
After learning how to deal with rejection and being humbled, I was blessed with a job that I was under qualified for at a music school.
To be honest, I was very very surprised that they hired me, because I knew what was on my background. A couple of weeks later I get a call from the owner of the music school, Sarah, I knew what she was calling about….
She asked me to tell my side of the story, and so I did. Without any hesitation, Sara told me not to worry about my background and offered me to stay as long as I needed to. That was God!
That was the beginning of my belief system taking over a new position. I started to believe and live the life of what I thought was impossible.
B.I.T.I. Ent stands for BELIEVE IN THE IMPOSSIBLE ENTERPRISE
Our mission is to help creators believe and live in things that seems impossible and to create new memories one Jam at a time!

Courtlin , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Courtlin Murphy a.k.a. Murphy Leòn. My mother introduced me to some of the best music and artists to ever do it.
I also grew up watching The Jamie Foxx show, The Fresh Prince of Belair, and Martin, So comedy and entertaining people definitely became my thing!
I started off playing around on piano around 8 years old or so, but I didn’t take it serious. It didn’t start to become a real thing until I was about 15 years old. After high school, Music pretty much took over my life and I became a music director for a church in Lancaster Texas, The Embassy Church.
Studio Music production is fairly new for me still, it’s been about 5 years. But live production and band directing, I’ve definitely been doing for a while!
We can produce music, events, photo shoots, video shoots, commercials, etc. Pretty much anything a creative needs, we try our best to produce it!
If you rock with BITI, you rock with the BEST!
With management, I’ve had a few guinea pigs for sure. So far, Stephen Cue is the artist that we have spent the most time and energy on. We are very proud of everything that he has done thus far! It has been an incredible journey to witness from the position that I have. 🙏🏾 We’re still going up!!
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I’m in the music business , which means, I’m in the PEOPLE business. If people don’t rock with you, they won’t rock with your production or anything else! So we make sure that we communicate effectively, focus on punctuality, dress the part, create new unforgettable memories!

How’d you meet your business partner?
In this business, you can’t do it alone. You NEED a team! From the start of the company, my guy, Timothy Cuington aka TCUE, has been here. He is my brother, friend, and business partner. If you haven’t already figured it out, Stephen Cue and Tim Cue are brothers! I am married to their sister, Felicia aka Shae aka Queen Murphy 💙 I met Stephen and Tim 10 plus years ago, and we’ve been kicking it ever since. I didn’t marry Queen until 5 years ago. It’s an incredible situation!
