We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful COURT DANYELLE. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with COURT below.
Alright, COURT thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
The biggest risk I have taken is fully having faith in my God- given gifts. The year is 2014 and I am working full time and going to school full time. I was pursuing an idea to become an Anesthesiologist. Thoughout my life I thought I wanted to work in medicine to be able to pour into people in their time of need. I then experienced my own medical emergency in June where my appendix burst and I had no idea. 10 days I lived my life and worked while in this state. After developing a fever I could not get rid of, I went to the hospital and was prepped for emergency surgery July 1, 2014.
After spending two weeks in the hospital wondering why this happened and how I wanted to continue my life after my recovery. I decided it was time to revisit my creative passions and bring my life a true meaning outside of a job and a degree.
While in recovery I began to paint and post my art online. This allowed me to become a part of a great creative organization called NUW at the time. I later joined Dancers United and began to get back to my love of dance as well.
Developing community with other creatives and getting back to performing over the next year, I found my zeal for life returned. I noticed that up until this moment I was living according to ideas and suggestions of what I ‘thought’ I ‘should’ do and not truly living.
God opened so many doors and opportunities in that time that I decided to save up, pack up, and move to Los Angeles in 2016. It was so difficult to leave so many familiar things behind but it became one of the most memorable 3 years of my life and my Art/ Entertainment career thrived.
I had lived so long in what ifs and I was so grateful to watch God allow my wildest dreams to become my daily reality.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I love all things creative and passionate. Art and entertainment cover such a wide span of areas. Growing up in Arkansas, I have always loved movies and great performances. My family is very creative and always busy with spiritual and creative events. At a young age my sisters and I sang in a group called the Glassettes. I also grew up performing and competing in all types of endeavors. My dad and I also share of love of great cinema. We would always watch the latest movie or go to blockbuster and rent our favorite films. My mom also kept my siblings and I busy learning new things and polishing our skills in many areas. I love trying new things and get to share that with my own daughter now.
Because of my love of arts, entertainment, and creative events my brand is catered to these areas. I have a huge love of God because of my upbringing and the miracles I have experienced with near- death situations. My brand brings the best of it all together.
CourtDanyelle.com provides artwork to anyone who has a love of visual art pieces. I even teach live art classes. This visual art carries over into the apparel side of the website. The apparel not only features art but it also uplifts. The apparel is meant to inspire you to be your best self in whatever area you walk in. The color schemes and pieces also cater to individuals in the industry that are always on the go creating. The neutral color scheme featuring pops of color allow models, actresses, artists, photographers and many more to have neutral clothing for auditions or an on- the- go photoshoot.
I love having a brand that is inclusive. Whether you create art or appreciate it in your own way you can collect art or wearable art that you love.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Pivoting is such a large part of life. This is something I have had to learn and find peace with. I believe I have started over and started from the bottom countless times. Sometimes when we start a direction we believe that season will last forever. However, seasons do not last forever. Each season comes with its own blessings and lessons and it is so easy to want to cling to what is familiar.
I have pivoted in areas from moving a lot as a kid to pivoting in my goals for my business. I have pivoted in college and in my creative career as well. Each time I learn God has something new for me in this moment and each moment becomes more rewarding than the last. I have come to love this.
I have learned I am never starting over or from the bottom, but actually building on each experience. Life really is a marathon. You take all of your experiences as they come but you have to keep going even when times get hard.
Constantly learning from what did not work and then leveling up is so important. It is okay to change your mind and it is okay to make changes for the better.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Striving for success in any capacity demonstrated resiliency. I have allowed myself to dive into new experiences consistently.
Moving a lot taught me how love and accept all types of people. We are all beautiful and have something to offer. Being new is not easy and can be very uncomfortable.
Overcoming challenges as a new mom and full time student also allowed me to continue to push through every test that came my way.
Moving 24 hours away from my family to California challenged me to learn new cultures and submerge myself into the industry. It is difficult to learn a new area while also learning a new career. Each set I attended I made sure to remain a student and learn from the rooms I was in.
Financial illiteracy inspired me to get a position working in banking and learning/ working my way up in the finance industry.
I now work in marketing and am learning so much about how to present yourself as a brand.
Owning a business challenges you everyday and teaches you about so many things you did not know existed.
Each of these new experiences pushed me to learn and grow consistently. My favorite aspect is how at this moment in life I am utilizing skills from every single level to continue to live in my purpose. God is continuing to grow and stretch me in the areas he has called me to.
