We were lucky to catch up with Corrinne Hambrick recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Corrinne thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
As an entrepreneur, the mission behind my story is simple:
To help others experience a life of Ownership, Accentuated Beauty and Luxury sweatlessly, without stress or breaking the bank.
The story behind my mission started when I was just a little girl and watched my mom “bargain shop” to clothe us. Of coarse at that time I didnt know it was bargain shopping, I just knew she would shop for our clothes and shoes, in which would be some of the latest trends and always in like new condition…not knowing she was thrift shopping the whole while. She began in this facet having a son (my brother) that was diagnosed with mental retardation at birth. Needless to say, he would mess up his clothing frequently, causing our mom to have to replace them often…that became very expensive so she found a less expensive way, yet still providing the quality and comfort, in order to clothe us.
I saw how hard my parents worked to provide for my sister, brother and I, making it look so easy…however, there were times when I knew it was a bit more difficult than they were making it out to be. So, I would dabble in different things to try to help out in any way I could. I did things like: cooking, cleaning, caring for my brother, hair, etc.. The thing that stood out to me most (of coarse next to caring for my brother) was doing hair! I would do my hair and my mom’s hair so that she didn’t have to spend the extra money to have it done. My sister had a part time job and was able to fund getting her hair professionally done, not trusting me as much at that time! Needless to say, I continued to enjoy doing hair and adding to one’s beauty. My talent to do hair grew as I grew, causing me to take it more seriously and getting licensed as a Master Cosmetologist.
As I grew my clientele base doing hair, in conversations with some of my clients, they would express to me how they really wanted to be a first time home buyer, but just didn’t think it was possible for various reasons…i.e. didn’t think they would qualify, didn’t think they had enough income, scared to take on the maintenance of homeownership, etc.. It then hit me that I wish there were a way I could help these individuals to achieve such a milestone of a goal. That thought slowly died, not having the knowledge myself, then thought to myself, “what if I became a real estate investor, then I could offer homeownership to people by doing a rent to own situation, that may be a bit easier than going through all of the red tape”. I took off with that idea in mind and got licensed as a Salesperson (Real Estate Agent). Well, things shifted a bit and before I could purchase my first investment property (I had already purchased my personal property), a young lady came to me and said she wanted to purchase her first home. I couldn’t turn her down, so the journey began. We found her property that was a fit to be her first home. The feeling I gained from that experience was priceless and unexplainable! From that moment on, I desired to take pride in finding a home for individuals in search of one and doing it in such a way, causing them to be so light on their feet that it brings about sweatless victories for them!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
As an entrepreneur, I believe in multiple streams of income. Therefore, I wear several hats to include but not limited to: E-commerce, Cosmetology and Real Estate.
I desire to help others experience a life of Ownership, Accentuated Beauty and Luxury sweatlessly, without stress or breaking the bank.

To sum it all up, there’s nothing you can’t have or do…all you have to do is BELIEVE!

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele is simple. I simply gain new clients with real estate needs by word of mouth and the same goes for customers for my online store. I believe there’s nothing like word of mouth…typically, it’s the most trustworthy way of gaining the trust of a new client or customer. Therefore, it’s imperative to make a GREAT first impression cause a GOOD one just isn’t good enough!

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
The one quality that helped me build my reputation within my market(s) is Integrity. I take pride in “doing the work” for my real estate clients…you know, taking as much of the leg work from them to cause them to be light on their feet, ultimately causing their home search experience to be a sweatless one.
Same goes for my customers of my online store…I take pride in providing them with luxury finds that are in good pre-used condition (if not new) and offer it at a reasonable price. There’s nothing like, “balling on a budget”!
