Corrina, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Do you take vacations? Why or why not?
Do I take vacations? That is not even a question. All the time. I’m a Flight Attendant so I travel for work but on my off days, you can catch me on a flight as well. I love any place with a beautiful beach and great restaurants. I love exploring new states and countries. It’s nice to step away from work and relax in a new environment. I recommend all entrepreneurs to take vacations. Doesn’t matter if it’s just an overnight road trip or 3 nights in Cancun, just go somewhere. It helps me with my thought process when I step away from my daily routine and really let my mind and body relax. Being an entrepreneur is stressful and you will burn yourself out if you don’t find things to keep you balanced. That balance is traveling for me.

My name is Corrina La’Shay and I am the owner of Rinaunwrapped. It started with just a simple gold box with stickers and 100 dollar bills for my niece’s golden year birthday. I didn’t think I would make a business out of creating money boxes but when I saw people’s reaction I expanded from there. I have been in business for over 2 years. I make personalized and custom made monetary gifts for all occasions. I take pride in making sure each creation is uniquely special with pictures, stickers and decorations. Rinaunwrapped is an one of a kind experience and never duplicated. I love when I see customer reaction videos because it’s just confirmation that I’m doing what I’m destined to do. Rinaunwrapped is apart of me. It’s not just what I do, it’s who I am. I’m so passionate about my brand and the joy that my creations bring to others. My attention to detail sets me apart from others. I take time with each creation to make sure it really shows the personality of each individual. It will be a keepsake they will have forever. I want them to never forget how they felt when they experienced a Rinaunwrapped creation. I’m most proud of the progress that I’ve made in these 2 years. My creations have landed in the hands of 2 celebrities, Kash Doll and B.Simone. That was the highlight of my business because I look up to them both and to see videos of them opening a Rinaunwrapped was priceless. I’m so proud of that moment. That showed me that anything is possible if you only believe. Also, it’s not always about what you know, but who. As you’re reading this, I hope you get a sense of who I am as a person and my brand. I take pride in making each customer happy with my creations. I work hard everyday to ensure my brand continues to grow and create an everlasting impact on anyone that experiences a Rinaunwrapped.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Social Media is definitely a great way to get your name out there and create a presence. I built my social media audience by connecting to a lot of Facebook business groups that were trying to do the same thing, gain followers and get out there. This was a great opportunity because you were not only getting new traffic and followers but seeing what other entrepreneurs were offering as well. I love to connect people so even if I don’t need the service I can share it on my social media and maybe one of my other followers are looking for someone that does the same exact thing. It’s all about networking. Making reels and putting a trendy song can help you get more followers and exposure as well.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy is social media and pop up shops. I love social media because a lot of people are using it so you can connect to a lot of people. I love pop up shops because those are authentic and real experiences. Face to face connections are always amazing because you can get a sense of the type of person they are and you see first hand what they have to offer. I’m definitely a peoples person and I love to talk to entrepreneurs and get to know them and their brand. It’s just more organic and you can put a face to the brand.
