Today we’d like to introduce you to Corree Roofener.
Hi Corree, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
As a young mother, I was attending community college to get a degree to further my life. One of my required classes was a basic bookkeeping class. I absolutely loved the class, more than any other class I took. After finishing my degree, because that is what you are “suppose” to do. I went on to never actually work in my degree field. I held a multitude of different positions in management, manufacturing and health care. About a decade later, I was at home full-time, when it was brought to my attention that someone I knew needed a bookkeeper. I was interested in this as I could do it from home, but also because I remembered how much I loved that class back in college. I proceeded to get the position and simultaneously took the remaining classes I needed to get my bookkeeping certificate. Self trained for the most part in the program and thus spent the next decade doing bookkeeping from home as a side-gig to fund our vacation fund. In 2021 we decided to begin another journey and change the way we were currently living. My husband left his career, we sold everything and moved to our property in Montana. Our Freedoms of time, money, relationships and purpose were what was calling. So, I began the process of building the business from 2 clients to over a dozen. Today I do bookkeeping remotely from home in NW Montana for clients all over the country. Most of my clients are women entrepreneurs who need someone, not only that they trust, but that does not make them feel shameful for what they do not understand about their business finances. My dream is to scale enough to employee stay at home moms, who want to be able to raise their family, but need the income to either live in their values or just pay the bills.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Well NO, but entrepreneurship rarely is.
Finding and understanding my ideal client.
When you are dealing with peoples money trust is huge and so referrals are one of the biggest forms of getting new clients. Scaling enough to get referrals and then building from that.
My own growth journey. A good business owner, understands herself 100%. What holds them back and what pushes them forward
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about CR Financial Foundations, LLC?

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Curiosity and the Courage to say yes!
Mentors are mandatory and networking is a necessity. So even if you are an introvert who struggles getting in those rooms, there is nothing that will grow your business faster.
My investment in coaches, has propelled me forward in business, but also in other avenues I had no idea were on my heart.
Networking is how I have grown my business period.
