Alright, Corree thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard

I bring a relationship approach to each one of my clients. Our money is such a vulnerable subject in most cases, and when we decide to outsource the job, we need to be able to not only trust they will do their job, but also trust that they will see our business for what it is a very unique part of the business owner. So many of my clients came to be with a lot of shame and guilt about not understanding their numbers and how to create change in their finances due to old stories or unfortunately very old school professionals that had been dealing with their business finances. Not only do I create exceptional records for their business, but I teach through practical tools how to not only learn more about their numbers, but how they can choose to change the trajectory of their numbers.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

My name is Corree Roofener, I am a mom of 6 and nana of 4. We live in NW Montana on 20 acres that we just finished developing.
Numbers have always been my strong suit, but realized through necessity that I have a gift for managing money, making money work for ,me and that I could help other people build this part of their business also. What started as a side gig to fund our vacations and travel 15 years ago, has become a full-time income to support our family as we live out our core values in life. Building the business enabled us to move to our property in Montana and choose our freedom of time, money and relationships that create a living legacy we want to leave each of our children.
Our firm is a full cycle bookkeeping firm, but we also do financial coaching for business owners and personal finance coaching for our home lives. We truly believe the the story and values you hold around money define your net worth. We have to have a positive money mindset in order to create the legacy of wealth we desire.
The part of our company that I am most proud of are the relationships with my clients. We believe in seeing each of our clients for who they are in their business and life and leaving the old school transactional process at the door. Connection is everything.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

My belief in relationships vs. transactions and $

I truly believe that my authentic relationship with each of my clients, is what has them sharing my business with peers. Too many times I hear of disrespectful and rude relationships between accountants and their clients.

I am also not only willing but interested in sharing and teaching with each client about the details of their business finances. We do this through quarterly calls that is included in their service packages.

I am approachable and compassionate and that is not the norm in the industry.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

When I first started this business, I truly believed I could help anyone. But, I honestly found that not to be the case and that I honestly did not want to niche down to my original clientele.
Originally I focused on legal bookkeeping, which I really good at, but it was not providing me with the connection and challenge I wanted out of my business and myself.
I had to pivot and get very clear about my focus and quickly realized that helping women entrepreneurs was definitely my passion. I love walking them through the stories that have been told to them either by others or themselves and find a different path in their money stories. I also love showing them how simple mindshifts enable them to define their choices in business and life.
