We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Corinne Eckert. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Corinne below.
Corinne, appreciate you joining us today. So, let’s imagine that you were advising someone who wanted to start something similar to you and they asked you what you would do differently in the startup-process knowing what you know now. How would you respond?
When I started my business a little over 4.5 years ago, I didn’t know what I was doing, so I learned by trial and error. Looking back, if I were to start over today, I would focus on these four things:
1) Personal Growth / Mindset – That quote that says “success is 80% mindset and 20% strategy” (I believe it’s attributed to Tony Robbins) is completely correct. You can have all of the strategies in the world, but if you don’t have a positive, focused mindset or believe in yourself and what you’re doing, you won’t get very far.
2) Taking Action – I spent so much time consuming information and content that it basically kept me stagnant. Between information overload (which led to analysis paralysis) and consuming others’ content (which led to comparisonitis), I spent most of my time productively procrastinating instead of taking action to move the needle forward.
3) Deeply understanding and focusing on what *I* want to build – There is a lot of noise telling you what you should do to get XYZ result. At the end of the day, you are starting this business to share YOUR gifts with the world and enjoy what you do, so follow what you feel called to build, not what the world tells you you should build.
4) Don’t be afraid to “fail” – You will “fail” – a lot. But this is only problematic if you view failing as bad. What if failing was actually just a learning experience? Another opportunity to practice getting better? The moment you redefine what failure means to you is the moment you start creating momentum in your business.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am a High Performance and Breathwork Coach who helps ambitious people go after their BIG goals that no one else believes in. I got into this industry as I, too, am going after my own big goals that no one else believed in (until now).
A little backstory…
When I was 14 years old, I went to a Justin Bieber concert at Madison Square Garden. As I saw Justin standing on stage with the crowd fully engaged, I just knew one day I’d occupy the same space. I felt a call to be on stages and create space for people to be present and happy, and feel comfortable being their authentic selves while sharing in very palpable, high-vibe energy.
Although this was the dream, I was quickly conditioned into keeping it to myself. Over the years, people’s comments really discouraged me from pursuing this life. Coupling the comments with my own limiting beliefs led me to putting this goal on the backburner for 13 years. It wasn’t until I turned 27 that I decided to own it, which set everything into motion.
As I’ve spent the last few years working toward my goal, I have learned firsthand the power of a strong and clear mindset, the importance of betting on yourself, and the best ways to navigate the journey in times of doubt.
Now, using a blend of mindset coaching and breathwork, I help clients get out of their own way so that they stop holding themselves back from the impact they can make. The modalities I use help clients deeply connect with themselves, unlock their full potential, leverage their talents, and build momentum as they turn their big dreams into reality.
I truly believe that whatever big ideas we are called to allow us to step fully into our unique gifts. We ALL have the power to make incredible changes in the world, and I believe that if we leaned into the ideas that have been gnawing at us for years, we would be living in alignment and operating from a place of flow, ease, and excitement (instead of the consistent burnout cycle that has become the norm nowadays).
The more people who follow their desires, the more others can become inspired to do the same. This ripple effect has limitless potential to spread happiness and elevate lives. Although being on stages is the goal, raising the world’s happiness level by empowering people to live in alignment with their purpose is the vision. This is the essence and meaning behind the work I do today.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been being authentically me – in person, on calls, and online. In a world where noise is so heavy on social media, in the news, etc., what helps you stand out is YOU – your personality, your perspective, and how you treat people. People buy people, not things. They purchase from who they connect with and trust. There are thousands of other people out there who do what you do, but the way you show up is how you will attract the most ideal client connections for you.
P.S. This will also lead to really great referrals!

How did you build your audience on social media?
I started my business in 2019 as a Branding and Business Development Coach for online entrepreneurs. During this period of my business, I shared a lot of content that helped build my authority – content that focused on teaching topics from my specific perspective and that showcased the results I was getting my clients. This attracted people who wanted to learn and were looking for the results I could provide. Mixed in with this was content that showcased my personality, my interests, and other things people could connect with on a human level, which helped create a community.
I would definitely suggest these types of content for people just starting to build their social media presence. Put more emphasis on the business content than the personal content at first because you want to attract people who are taking your business seriously. Then, add in the personal content. Also, post consistently – every platform loves consistency.
As my business has evolved over the years, my content has still included the aforementioned categories. I’ve also branched out into podcasts and networking as strategic ways to grow my social media audience. When people experience you and enjoy your presence, they naturally want to connect more. When you can authentically showcase who you are and what value you can bring, it’s a no-brainer for them to join your community online.
