We recently connected with Corinna Ramirez and have shared our conversation below.
Corinna, appreciate you joining us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
The biggest risk I ever took was deciding to walk away from the traditional 9-5 grind that had been my life for so long. I was done feeling stuck, exhausted, and undervalued—working hard day in and day out but never seeing the results I deserved. Deep down, I knew I was meant for more, but the fear of stepping into something new kept holding me back. I was scared. Scared to fail, scared to lose, scared of the unknown. But one day, I realized something that changed everything: the pain of staying the same had become scarier than the fear of trying something new.
So, I took the plunge. I dove into learning remote closing—a skill I’d never even heard of before but knew could be the answer to a better life. It wasn’t easy. I was filled with self-doubt and nerves, but I also knew that nothing would change if I didn’t make a change. And let me tell you, it was the best decision I’ve ever made.
Remote closing didn’t just change my financial situation; it changed my life. It gave me the power to control my time, my income, and my destiny. I got out of debt, gained confidence I never knew I had, and finally had the freedom to travel and create a better life for the people—and fur babies—I love most.
If you’re on the fence about taking that risk or making a change, remember this: staying stuck will never get you closer to the life you want. You’ll never know what incredible things are waiting for you until you take that leap. The risk is worth the reward if you are willing to do the work!
Corinna, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hi, I’m Corinna Ramirez. I grew up in a small town in Northern California, always feeling like I was destined for more but had no idea where to begin. Like so many, I found myself stuck in dead-end jobs that left me feeling unfulfilled and going nowhere. I knew I was meant for something bigger, and I was determined to break free from the traditional 9-5 grind that was holding me back.
After what felt like endless searching for the right path, I met my significant other, who introduced me to the world of sales which then lead me to remote closing, a skill that completely transformed my life. It wasn’t easy; it took countless hours of training, discipline, and perseverance, but the rewards were life-changing. I gained the confidence and independence I’d always craved, finally having control over my time and income.
But it didn’t stop there. After mastering remote closing, my partner and I founded Closing Babes University—a space dedicated to empowering women to learn this skill, take control of their lives, and become fully self-sufficient. We created a community where women support each other, accelerate their skills, and find mentorship to avoid the mistakes we made. What took me years to figure out, we now teach in a way that fast-tracks your success. It’s about more than just learning a skill; it’s about creating a life of freedom, confidence, and abundance, surrounded by women who truly get it.
I am most proud of the women we’ve been able to help along the way! We’re on a mission to help as many women as possible and I know that this is just the beginning!
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
Growing up, I was taught to play it safe—never take risks, stick to what’s familiar, and always choose the secure path. For years, I followed that mindset, thinking I was doing the right thing. But over time, I realized that playing it safe was keeping me stuck in the same place, far from the dreams I had for myself. I was constantly spinning my wheels, wondering why I wasn’t moving forward.
One day, it hit me: I was thinking too small. I was so afraid of failing that I never gave myself a chance to grow. I was holding myself back from the life I knew I was meant for. The biggest lesson I had to learn was that growth doesn’t come from staying comfortable. It comes from taking risks, investing in yourself, and daring to learn new things. I had to let go of the fear and start betting on myself.
That shift changed everything. I stopped playing small, started taking bold steps, and invested in my growth like never before. It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it. The reality I live now—the confidence, freedom, and success—only came when I decided to stop playing it safe and start showing up for the life I truly wanted. Sometimes, the biggest risk is staying exactly where you are.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Transitioning from my traditional 9-5 to remote closing was one of the scariest decisions of my life. I was leaving behind my safety net and everything familiar to dive into something completely new. The fear of failure weighed heavily on me, but I knew deep down that if I was going to make this leap, I had to be all in—no half measures, no looking back. It was a “failure isn’t an option” mindset that drove me forward, pushing me past my doubts and fears.
I remember the moment I decided to take the plunge; I was terrified “What if this doesn’t work?” But I was more afraid of staying the same than I was of failing. I knew that nothing would change unless I took that chance. So, I put everything I had into learning the skill of remote closing. I committed myself fully, embracing every challenge, every minute spent training, and every moment of uncertainty.
Looking back now, it was the best decision I ever made. Not only did I find success, but I also found freedom, confidence, and control over my life that I never thought possible. If I hadn’t made that scary leap, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Sometimes, the most terrifying decisions are the ones that change your life in the best ways. Taking that risk wasn’t just about switching careers; it was about betting on myself and knowing that I was worth the leap.
