We were lucky to catch up with Corina Hernandez recently and have shared our conversation below.
Corina, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
The name was thought off fairly quick. No struggles. C.A.N boutique identifies my children.I knew that it had to be for them. When launching I had 2 boys but the boutique name was already figured with my 2 boys and my first name initial. I thought to myself if I have a third child their name will have to start with the letter “C” and exactly what i had thought came to life. My 3rd child came along the most perfect gift/blessing for my family & I. A baby girl who goes by the name of Capri was born. (Capri), (Axiel), & (Noah) together makes CAN and have forever became the reason & purpose for this journey. I want to show my children we CAN do anything & everything we set our mind on.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
I always had a sense for fashion or for what was “In”. I have always admired the different styles, colors, patterns & outfit ideas. C.a.n_boutique offers cute pieces of clothing at an affordable price. From size S-3XL. I like to bring in clothing that is unique but yet simple. I Love the contrast my clothing can have & the way they can easily be put together for nights out, business casual, etc. Fulfilling this boutique with many more colors, patterns & styles is the goal. I love all my clients whom have purchase from c.a.n_boutique because I know they fell in love with the clothing piece they purchased just as much as I did when bringing it In.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The way c.an_boutique has grown has been with social media. It has played a big role with sales, ideas, advertising and recognition. Posting giveaways, raffles, & discounts has helped me engage & offer my fashion ideas and low cost apparel.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
I have noticed an increase in clients with local pop ups & markets I have assisted. The events I’ve assisted definitely have been awarding meeting many new clients with different style ideas. Many whom have purchased and given me reaffirmation that c.a.n_boutique needs to stay and deserves to grow!
