We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Corey Williams a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Corey , appreciate you joining us today. Earning a full time living from one’s creative career can be incredibly difficult. Have you been able to do so and if so, can you share some of the key parts of your journey and any important advice or lessons that might help creatives who haven’t been able to yet?
The first step to accomplishing any goal is believing in yourself. Believe that you can do it and nothing is impossible.I started off filming with a phone. That’s all I had at the time.I knew nothing about cameras but I had skill.I begin to showcase my work on Facebook and Instagram because nobody believes you unless you show them.People were amazed at the quality of my visuals and started booking me.I was building my clientele with a phone, a Samsung S21 Ultra to be exact. I wanted to show people it’s not about the fancy equipment, it’s about skill and determination.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I was a music artist for many years so it was easy for me to transition into videography because I was already use to doing visuals. I always had a different vision from the average person.I just love to create! To take an idea and turn it into a real vision is a passion for me.When I got into filming I wanted to cover all bases.I wanted to be the guy you can come to for everything.I provide many services such as.. Podcast, commercials, weddings, parties, music videos, reality shows, etc. Also any kind of photoshoot you need can be provided as well.I always go far and beyond for my clients. What sets me apart is vision, quality, perfection! Building a relationship with that person and not just treating them like a client. Filmed In 360 is name brand. It’s high quality production with substance.

Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?
I was working as a delivery driver for Amazon. I did that for almost 2 years. While doing that I was setting aside money to finance what I’m doing now.Once I saved up a nice amount I resigned from Amazon and became self employed.I also had other investments as well.I bought a little equipment at a time. Now I own a total of 7 cameras, drone, microphones, etc.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I always tell people to be genuine and do right by others.Doing right can take you a long way.I’m always transparent with my supporters/clients.Just me being genuine and passionate about helping other people build their brand is what attracts people to me.
