We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Corey Brown a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Corey thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

Well I have always been creative, but I was in the music business initially for several years but I was spending more time than money being made so I switched my company to more of a company that offers creative services. So my sons Tevion and Tyvier were athletes growing up and I always tried to make my sons teams or just them look sweet, lol. So my son Ty came up with the name El Diesel I told him we can turn it into a sports brand and we can be one of the few black owned sports and goods company. So we agreed on El Diesel Sports. So he is the Co Owner at 18 years old. So he played college football for Catawba College in NC and transferred to Bethune Cookman after he finished the semester in December so he will be there In January and he rocks his own gear. But we also have a website Www.eldieselsports.com and a store front on the Northside of Jacksonville, Florida and its growing by the day. He has his own brands 3 Clothing and Savage Teddy which all feed off of EL DIESEL SPORTS. I run the business while he goes to school to get a degree and he enjoy college life. The mission is to saturate the world with El Diesel Sports and provide a true urban style to sports worldwide. And build an empire. ATLANTA and Orlando locations are in the near future.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

We try to use knowledge and creativity and always make our customers say “wow”. We do alot of 3D shirts kids and teams, To see their reactions when I bring their visions of their loved ones to life..it’s amazing which is what makes me love what I do..especially for the memorial shirts. We are providing sweatsuits, uniforms, football, basketball track, soccer, baseball, softball, 7v7 football. We also assist ppl in starting their own clothing brands. Just started printing DTF in-house. Where we can design, print and press shirts no matter the quantity. Also, we do mentorship to kids.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

Schools, sports organizations word of mouth.
