Core Dj, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
The first I touched a turntable was when a friend of mine who asked me to attend a private function he was booked to DJ. He had to go to the bathroom really bad and asked me to cover the party for him while he took care of his “business”. Once I found out how the crowd reacted to my song selection I was hooked!
Core Dj, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Military brat from an Honorable Discharged Military Marine Sergent father and well educated savvy business woman from south side of Chicago.
Found my love for music as a musician at the early age of 10 that spanned singing to all levels of entertaining. What sets me apart is the experience I create in the world of music. I take you on a journey of the times music felt good!!
Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
I wish I knew the value of networking and resources such as Casting Directors, Agents and producers at an earlier age. I grew up with the similar mind set of an athlete… display your talents at given opportunity and your gifts will be seen, recruited and rewarded.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My journey consists of making good music and any creative platform my family would be proud of!
