Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Coralie Saint-Louis. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Coralie, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
My dad loved the news. When I was growing up, I remember him religiously tuning in to morning and afternoon broadcasts during school drop-offs and pick-ups. After we moved to the States, he maintained this daily routine as a way to stay in the loop about what was happening back home.
When he caught covid during the pandemic and had to be hospitalized, he became completely isolated. It was during the shutdowns and the hospitals were not allowing visitors. The staff suggested we implement some familiar elements to help with his recovery and I somehow convinced them to let me go in to install an Alexa device in his room that I would program remotely to play his favorite local newscasts in Haiti.
This deeply personal journey underscores Enpak Social’s commitment to ensuring that everyone, especially in times of crisis, has easy access to the information that matters most to them. Those car rides with my dad first influenced my path in journalism. The experience of connecting with him through our shared interest in news became the cornerstone of our mission—to make local news more accessible, reliable, and readily available.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m from a country that only captures international attention during times of crisis. In such moments, the media tends to swoop in, gather fragments for their stories, and then leave as public interest wanes. I went into journalism because I wanted to tell the stories of marginalized communities and underrepresented groups especially when people stopped paying attention. I recognized the role of local news reporters in keeping communities informed and I wanted to be a part of that work.
Fast forward to ten-plus years later and this realization prompted the development of the Enpak Social app for local news. Enpak is designed to elevate the news experience by connecting users with trusted journalists committed to truth, accuracy, and impartiality. By amplifying the work of local news reporters, the app creates a news ecosystem where journalists and users engage with information based on facts. Social media has amplified our access to news but has also facilitated the spread of misinformation. Enpak is a publishing platform for vetted journalists to share their content and a social media app for users seeking an innovative way to interact with the news. Through Enpak, we hope to help users stay informed about their communities and the world, sidestepping misinformation and biased reporting.
In essence, Enpak Social was born out of a necessity to overcome some of the challenges faced by the local news industry, amplifying the work of local news reporters and the need to empower individuals with reliable information.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Our most successful approach to growing our clientele has involved a comprehensive strategy with a strong emphasis on networking. Actively participating in various industry events has allowed us to forge valuable connections and engage in meaningful conversations. By establishing a robust network, we’ve created opportunities to showcase and sell our product directly to individuals and organizations. This intentional networking not only expands our base but also builds enduring relationships that contribute to the sustained growth of Enpak Social.

How do you keep your team’s morale high?
At Enpak Social, we keep our team’s morale high by promoting an environment that nurtures creativity and celebrates individual contributions.
