Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Cora Bracho-Troconis. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Cora, thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Our mission is to ignite free thought and foster creativity across all age groups by encouraging the exploration, fusion, and harmonization of diverse art forms, styles, cultures, and languages.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
CBArt stands as a versatile mobile art studio, offering a wide array of classes, after-school activities, Kids Night Out events, workshops, camps, and special occasions tailored to diverse age groups, spanning from toddlers to seniors. Whether it’s Scout badges, team-building sessions, family nights out, birthday parties, or other celebrations, our studio serves as a lively platform for nurturing creativity, artistic expression, and personal development.
CBArt emerged in 2020 amidst the pandemic, sparked by friends seeking assistance in providing art lessons to children grouped in various pods across Boulder. From there, we began offering private lessons to children who gathered to play, providing a creative outlet during the challenging days of the pandemic. Following a successful scientific career, Cora made the decision in June 2021 to convert the garage into a children’s art studio, leading us to where we are today.
At CBArt, we foster an environment where creativity, artistry, enjoyment, kindness, and growth intersect harmoniously. Our programs are thoughtfully designed to ignite inspiration in students and encourage them to explore and cultivate their creative potential across various art forms, including modeling, painting, art appreciation, ceramics, and sculpting. Our foremost aim is to establish a secure, inclusive, and enjoyable space where students feel free to express themselves authentically.
Committed to guiding students on their journey of learning and personal growth, we provide a supportive, safe, and nurturing environment. We firmly believe that art should be a source of joy and love, and our mission is to empower every student to embrace their unique creative abilities with confidence.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
CBArt stands as a significant career pivot for its founders, Cora and Steve, who transitioned from flourishing scientific professions to pursue their joint passions for creativity, enjoyment, and community engagement. Motivated by Cora’s unwavering passion for art and Steve’s commitment to service, CBArt became a reality. Cora Bracho, affectionately known as CB, brings over 35 years of sculpting and painting expertise, including an illustrious 18-year residency in Paris, France, before settling in Superior, Colorado, in 2002. With a background in Chemistry and a PhD in Material Sciences, along with extensive global exploration and a rewarding scientific career, Cora boldly chose to embark on a new journey amid the pandemic. Joined by her husband and partner, Steve, they embarked on the adventure together, driven by a desire to address evolving needs and share their love for art and world masters. Now, they devote their time to teaching art across Superior, Louisville, Lafayette, and Boulder areas, enriching the community with their passion and expertise.
