Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Cora Annadale. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Cora, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with education – we’d love to hear your thoughts about how we can better prepare students for a more fulfilling life and career.
I think the educational system should prioritize teaching financial literacy. Students can prepare for a more fulfilling life and career by investing time in trying different jobs as early on as possible. Learning about financial literacy and working to learn are two of the best habits any student can form for themselves in order to set them on a path to success.

Cora, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hi! My name is Cora.
In 2019, I was a broke 19-year-old living on her own just trying to make enough to pay bills and save some.
One day I was applying for new jobs, and I asked an old boss if I could put her down as a reference.
She said yes – but she also let me know she had pivoted her business and was now looking for someone to help market her social media, part-time.
I said yes – and that’s really where my journey began.
I quickly realized there was a whole world of “online marketing” that I had never been exposed to in school.
I saw other women doing “social media management”.
Working with clients.
Traveling the world.
And leaving their 9-5s to pursue financial freedom.
I wanted in.
I started learning everything I could.
The gig was only part-time.
And I did have to go get another forty-hour-a-week job so I could make enough money to pay the bills.
But I could see the long-term vision.
When I started working with my old boss on her new marketing plan – I studied her niche, put together a content strategy, and helped her film all of the assets.
In 1 week of posting, I grew her TikTok to 13 thousand followers.
I wanted to replicate this success.
I had to know – was it because of my strategy? Or just luck?
4 months later, I had grown my own account to 100K and started taking on more social media management clients.
I was able to quit all of my jobs and focus 100% on growing my business.
I am recently 22, and in about 2 years I’ve been able to scale to six figures, afford to travel and take myself on trips, and get my clients the most amazing results.
I just finished a launch with one of my clients, and my organic content strategy alone resulted in $33,000 in sales for her coaching program.
After working with clients for 2 years and refining my skills along the way, I now help 6 figure coaches eliminate burnout and grow their socials with content that drives consistent leads and sales to their offers.
I truly love what I do.
And I feel so grateful for the challenges I’ve overcome and the lessons I’ve learned along the way.
I love running my social media management business.
And in the future, I have goals and aspire to teach others about business, financial literacy, and building wealth.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
My journey began in 2021 when I started posting on TikTok. I was able to grow my account to 100 thousand followers in 4 months. The strategies I used in 2020 served me well to help me grow my account and sign clients. But – here’s my current advice to those that are starting to grow their audience on TikTok in 2023. Some principles are the same from 2020 (like having a niche) but since the algorithms have changed, there are updates that need to be made in your content strategy. Right now TikTok is prioritizing long-form content. If you’re just starting to build your audience, think about creating some long-form pieces of content that educate or entertain the ideal person that you are trying to reach. Also – please don’t overwhelm yourself with “how many times do I post a day?”. Here’s my take – start at a bandwidth that you can handle. And then work up from there. Social media is not a short-term play – it is a long-term investment. So if you really want the community – focus on building habits to post consistently. As you gain reps, your content will improve. As your content improves, you will learn how to infuse messaging into your content to get people to convert and buy what you’re selling. Just like anything in life – you have to practice mastering the craft. Content creation is a job that everyone assumes is easy until they do it – and then they realize it’s actually really f*cking hard. You will only fail if you give up, so keep going.
