We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Conroy Browne. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Conroy below.
Alright, Conroy thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.
Yes, there was a defining moment in my career, about a year and a half after I had initially been trained as an NLP master practitioner. At that point, I was still editing full-time professionally, and seeing clients before and after my edit day cutting The Bachelor, healing from the shadows like Batman. The first time I was able to go back to assist teaching the next class of NLP students, I was working with two students, teaching them both something called a Fast Phobia Cure. Tiare was an amazing, soulful individual still lacking a little bit of confidence, working with another amazing individual, Betty, a teacher in her late 50’s. Betty had had an intense fear and phobia of flying from the time she was a teenager that had prevented her from being able to travel the world. She felt unable to go on adventures, visit her family and grandkids, and pursue her lifelong dream to bring a new type of teaching she found important back to this country from Italy. It was at that point that I realized that fear defines us, both in our present and in our past. Betty’s past fear stopped her from flying, and Tiare’s current fear had her concerned about taking action now and whether or not she would be successful at the phobia cure. They both learned the skill and Tiare was able to eliminate the phobia of flying that Betty had for over 45 years.
A few weeks after the class ended, Betty was able to get on a plane for the first time in almost 50 years, go to Italy, and bring back this new teaching modality to the States. Tiare, with her newfound confidence in her skills, went on to become an amazing, successful facilitator and healer in her own right. Seeing the difference that made within Betty but also within Tiare, I realized something important had just happened within me as well.
At that point, I realized that there were so many things that people didn’t know about themselves and how they work. And that by teaching people more about how they work, how to leverage these things that they’ve never been taught about how we process information and emotion, I have the ability to help people help themselves; the ability to eliminate and collapse the fears that keep people trapped and afraid to move forward. When you think about it, the outer limits of anyone’s world or Comfort Zone is walled in by the fears they can’t get past or thoughts they can’t get past. I learned I have the ability to teach them more about how they work, and get them unstuck, so they can heal, evolve and thrive.

Conroy, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a teacher, guide, and healer, and I am the proud owner of CB Wellness Labs, a business focused on helping people get unstuck in their past, present, or future. Using my proprietary C.U.E.Rapid Transformation System, I guide them to leverage where they are and what they have right now into creating new tools, processes, and abilities to help them, heal, evolve, and thrive. My 3-pronged approach-C.U.E. stands for Conscious, Unconscious, and Energetic-allows me to bring together my skills as an NLP Master Practitioner, Certified Hypnotherapist, and Chinese Energy Healer. Blending these modalities within a single session gives me a unique ability to help clients move past the fear, trauma, or friction holding them back, allowing them to unleash more of the greatness lying dormant within them.
What I find most exciting about my work is the way that people light up when you show them how to change the way their experiences are affecting them so that they have more power and more agency over themselves, and a greater ability to move forward with more confidence and greater clarity.
I guess one of the things that I would want people to know about my brand is that CB Wellness Labs is a place of healing and laughter. I’ve been told by people that pass by my door when I’m in session that they frequently hear lots of laughter coming out of the room, which is something that I absolutely love to hear, because my C.U.E. method Rapid Transformation System is designed to get rid of a great fallacy that everyone has been operating under- that there’s something wrong with them, that they need to change the way they are. This idea that people have that they are broken I find absolutely ridiculous and reprehensible.
One of the great injustices done to people is to make them afraid of making mistakes, which makes them afraid of learning. Think of how much more fun life becomes once you realize that making mistakes, getting things wrong, and things not going your way have as much value as when things come easy. You’re not striving for perfection. What I always teach my clients is that you will use what you have, from where you are, to get where you want to go. And the easiest way for us to do that is to inject some humor and some laughter into it because once we are able to do that everything becomes exponentially easier. The healing process does not have to be a painful slog, in fact it works much better when it’s fun.
And I’m super excited for people to use our Soul Care Kit ‘Serene’, which is an effortless way for you to have 15 minute wellness tools in your pocket-on our app on your phone. The kit is a whole library of conscious hacks, hypnosis mini-sessions, and energy healing, enhanced with Binaural Beats and Solfeggio frequencies and choice of music, specially designed to help deal with Negativity and Overwhelm, and to help Rejuvenate you and Motivate you anytime during your busy day. 20% of sales of this Kit are donated to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and for every Kit purchased one is also gifted to a nurse, as part of our mission to help the helpers.
I’m also really excited for people to know about the CB Wellness Labs and Lounge membership community we are launching this spring/summer. We’re looking forward to creating a thriving, interactive community to support you in the ways you need the most, especially in these stressful and chaotic times, and to becoming an inspiring, positive, and essential part of everyone’s day.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
The lesson that I had to unlearn that was the most pivotal was unlearning the perfectionism which permeated my show business editorial career. In my previous industry, we were told that unless we were perfect, it didn’t matter, and that we were only as good as the last thing that we did for anyone. It was a business not of loyalties, but of conditional acceptance and conditional respect. It’s part of the reason that I named my new endeavor CB Wellness Labs. I took a course from a woman named Sunny Lenarduzzi, and she said something that I’ll always remember. She advocated for moving away from perfectionism, because that is the Kryptonite of the entrepreneur and business owner. She said to start looking at everything as less of an artist and more as a scientist, learning by trial and error. With everything that you do- what can we learn from this? How can we make whatever we’re doing better and more powerful? That way you get to grow from both the triumphs and the “mistakes”. And it’s a great lesson for people to learn, because there is no ‘there’ there, only the question “In what direction will our next step be?”

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
Other than training and knowledge, the things that I think are the most important in my field are connection and rapport. One of the things that I stress with every single NLP student I work with is that the depth and power of the transformation they’ll be able to help someone get to is directly proportional to the level and depth of the rapport that they create with their client. It seems pretty simple when you think about it-the more deeply that you’re able to connect with someone is the more powerfully that you’re going to be able to help them, because with greater rapport, there’s greater openness and you’ll be able to get to an even greater level of honesty and depth. The reason rapport is so important is that in a world where we often feel what we need is not noticed or cared about, there’s a deep and powerful effect when our deep rapport allows a client to feel truly seen, truly heard, and truly understood. From there you get to tap into their belief and guide them back to their ability to help themselves, and learn to heal, evolve, and thrive in this and every situation.
