We were lucky to catch up with Conrad Sanchez recently and have shared our conversation below.
Conrad, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Is there a heartwarming story from your career that you look back on?
I’ve had some amazing clients with incredible results that go far beyond physical changes. But let me share a story that took a surprising twist, a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
I remember working with a client who was in a desperate situation. She was married and trying to get pregnant, but every attempt had been met with disappointment. Her doctor recommended that she lose weight, so she turned to me for help. At the time, her financial situation could only afford her to train once a week. I provided her with a program to follow on the other days. But little did I know, this story would take an unexpected turn.
My client possessed an unwavering determination and a thirst for knowledge. She bombarded me with questions about food, the best workout classes, and how to accelerate her progress. With each passing week, she grew stronger, and shed layers of fat, but more importantly, she began to rediscover her lost self-confidence. She walked into our sessions with boundless enthusiasm, eager to challenge herself and share her weekly accomplishments.
However, one fateful day, as I awaited her arrival, her usual spark had vanished. Concerned, I inquired about the sudden change in her demeanor. She hesitated for a moment, then revealed a devastating secret: her husband had betrayed her trust, shattering her world into a million pieces. In addition to this emotional turmoil, she found herself between jobs, and she tearfully declared that she needed to take a break from personal training.
In that pivotal moment, I recognized that she had already gained the tools necessary to continue her journey toward transformation. I assured her that I would continue to assist with her programming and answer any questions she had, confident in her ability to persevere and rebuild her life.
She initiated a divorce, secured a high-paying job, and emerged as a resplendent version of herself, both inside and out.
Then, one day, out of the blue, she called me with an enigmatic message. She urged me to check my email and enter a password into a link she had sent. She explained that she had only shared this link with one other person—her current partner. But she wanted me to see it as a token of gratitude for helping her regain her lost confidence.
The link led to a boudoir photoshoot she had done to celebrate her 40th birthday. I’m truly grateful to have been part of such a lovely transformation.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m a personal trainer specializing in whole-body electrical muscle stimulation. I have always worked with special populations such as people with diabetes, injuries, pains, and aches, seniors, and high-profile executives with busy schedules. It was always a challenge to find workouts that were intense but not stressful on the joints, effective but without cutting corners, and accessible without needing to invest in too much equipment or space.
The search for a viable solution led me to WB-EMS, a technology that delivers a 90-minute weightlifting workout in just 20 minutes and consistently eliminates many obstacles around exercises. It is short, effective, joint-friendly, and as intense as the client can handle.
I wanted to learn as much as possible so I got certified to train with WB-EMS from all the major manufacturers: XBody, Miha Bodytec, E-Fit, and Wiemspro.
I read all the latest research that I then condense into my blogs to educate more people about this wonderful technology.
Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?

Empathy helps you understand your clients’ goals, fears, and limitations, allowing you to tailor your approach and communicate effectively. Listening and clear communication are essential for setting expectations and tracking progress.

Being adaptable and open to learning is crucial to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in WB-EMS and training methodologies. Flexibility in adjusting workout plans based on individual needs is also key.

When clients see improvements in their fitness levels, physique, or overall well-being, they are more likely to refer others to you and leave positive reviews.

Customized Training Programs: Tailoring your training programs to meet the unique goals and needs of each client demonstrates your commitment to their success. Personalized attention and customized workouts are often appreciated and lead to better results.
Client-Centered Approach: Listening to your clients, understanding their goals, and adapting your approach based on their feedback and progress can strengthen your reputation as a trainer who genuinely cares about their clients’ well-being.
