Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Connor Steen. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Connor, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. One of the things we most admire about small businesses is their ability to diverge from the corporate/industry standard. Is there something that you or your brand do that differs from the industry standard? We’d love to hear about it as well as any stories you might have that illustrate how or why this difference matters.
I believe that keep things “Unique” is a big part of being different form others in your industry, I strive to always stay ahead of the ball, weather that’s new ideas, new ways of doing things and listening to others what they would or wouldn’t do. I believe that listening to those you hire is always a good part of running a successful business. Try something new and if you fail try it over but learn from the first mistake.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I started out helping others but always wanting to do my own thing. I worked for many people doing many different types of things. I learned from each thing I did that if I chose to run with something that I had to master whatever it was. It took a lot of sweat, dedication, tears and hard work. My goal is never finished, some people get content and I don’t know if I ever could. I love the new challenge, I love the work ethic of starting something from scratch. I don’t care what it is, if i see a vision I will definitely give it a shot.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I think I make frequent pivots throughout my endeavors. Each day is never the same, so adjusting to the growth if expected, the industry, the market, the economy and things of that nature is huge picot points. Staying up to date and fresh with the latest and greatest is key points to becoming a top business. Those that continue with their old ways may have reputable repeat customers, but seeking new customers may require pivoting. I also believe Covid era was huge when dealing with the do’s and don’ts.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Consistency. Staying in touch, when doing a bad job if one was made making sure we circle back with customer to make sure everything is taking care of.
