Conitra , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear how you think where to draw the line in terms of asking friends and family to support your business – what’s okay and what’s over the line?
My friends are very supportive and ready to help promote, My two daughters are so supportive and always pushing me to be better even on the days I don’t have any sales. I feel it is not appropriate, to ask for freebies just because we’re family or good friends(I haven’t had that problem) the reasons why I decided to become a entrepreneur is to profit and help women with being more comfortable, confident and feel beautiful . My story is my oldest daughter Neisha was a big part of my inspiring me ,she started her company Sweet Extensionz Collections along with business she has started. Neisha also helped me with establishing Boujeez steps Boutique.

My name is Conitra Cowans owner of Boujeez Steps Boutique a online women’s shoe boutique. I have always love fashion, and wanted to open up a boutique of some sort. I love shoes so why not open a boutique that I would love to promote and showcase beautiful , creative, fashionable styles for all women to look at and feel sexy and confident in. Boujeez Steps has been established for 3 years, The products that I provide are women’s shoes from flats to sexy heels for every occasion with array of colors and styles. What sets Boujeez Steps apart from other shoe boutiques is I try to stay affordable, you don’t have to spend a ton of money to be fashionable, you can be boujeez on a budget. I love to provide that confidence back into women that don’t feel as confident ,we as women have so much going on. I know for me I can look at a pair of shoes and it makes my day, when I’m looking at shoes I already know in my mind how I want my outfits to look . Can you share one of your favorite marketing or sales stories?
My favorite marketing is attending popup networks., I love attending pop up events, networking with other entrepreneurs , My last networking event was awesome, I didn’t have many sales ,but just being around motivated people made it all worth it.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
my best source of new clients is to network, network ,network, also I use social media through FaceBook, Instagram . Business cards are a great to get new clients ,and through family and friends.
