We recently connected with Comfort Rogers and have shared our conversation below.
Comfort , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
I hope my legacy is one of perseverance and hope. I want to inspire others to press on…one step at a time (or crawl if necessary)…to write and live out their individual stories as only they can. We’ve all heard the phrase, “the world needs what only you can bring’ and I agree fully with this. No matter what happens, or how tumultuous our journey gets, we can challenge and discipline ourselves to maintain forward momentum and allow our unique strengths and gifts to land us where we are meant to land.
I want to be remembered as someone who never gave up and always tried to find the “glimmers” of beauty in this world, regardless of circumstances….that I always chose hope over despair and remained true to myself and my heart.
I also hope that every single soul that crosses my path in this lifetime will feel loved and valued, even if it’s just for a moment.

Comfort , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Sure! My career as a voice, music and acting coach has shifted and morphed into something truly beautiful and unique over the past couple of decades. Through many obstacles, curve balls, and trial and error, I have finally landed where I’m meant to be, empowering humans with their own identity, using the arts as my inspiration and script.
Now, as an artistic life coach and speaker, my main goal is to leave my clients and workshop members with more hope, creativity and confidence in their individual walks of life. I help them achieve this with a combination of “outside the box” exercises and thought-provoking activities inspired by the arts. I give them the opportunity and safe space to step outside of their comfort zones and explore their individuality. I believe there’s no such thing as an uninteresting person. Each one of us understands an aspect of life, some angle, better than anyone else. It’s not easy for us to identify that unique and invaluable perspective in ourselves and so that’s where I step in and show people how to wield it or amplify it or, at the very least, identify and value it. Some of my personal favorite workshops to teach are “The Art of Confidence” and “The Art of Communication”. I work with schools, businesses, and organizations to help their students and employees become better able to tell their individual stories, live with more confidence, and communicate more effectively, both in the workplace and in their personal walks of life.
If you attend one of my workshops, be it one of my “confidence camps” for young women or one of my communication workshops for businesses, be prepared to engage in acting improvisation exercises, high energy dance circles, strutting your stuff on a catwalk…the list goes on. And by the time you leave, my goal is that you will hold your head a bit higher, be more in touch with the truth of your identity, and be better able to communicate with confidence and clarity.
You’ll often hear me saying that one of the best ways to achieve true growth in this life is by confronting what scares us, but ONLY if we allow it too. Having the guts to be authentic and vulnerable in a world that often tries to suffocate our identity is an impressive act of bravery and rebellion, and I’m the one to have in your corner, cheering you on. As Oscar Wilde said, “Be yourself, everyone else is taken”
“Comfort has the ability to transform her audience and clients she works with. She is engaging, dynamic, and so relatable. Regardless of the topic, you feel as though you’re in a conversation with an old friend as opposed to being “talked at.” She has the power to uplift people and allow them to be more confident in their own abilities.”

“Comfort’s workshops bring out the joy and hope that all of us need so desperately in this crazy life! She expertly challenges people to open up to others and themselves to improve relationships and self-esteem. You will always leave her workshops walking a little taller and probably wiping away tears of laughter!”

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
I have built the majority of my business on “word of mouth”. I have been so fortunate to work with so many wonderful students, clients, schools and businesses that continue to refer me to their individual circles.
All of my clients know that they can always contact me with any ongoing questions, concerns or challenges that they are having. I strive to develop true and honest relationships with them all and I am thrilled that I have been able to stay in contact with so many of them as they continue to move forward on their paths.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Consistency and authenticity. I always try to stay true to who I am just as I am asking so many others to do. I always say I am an “open book” and this applies to both my personal life and professional life. I am not afraid to share my own fears and struggles with those I am working with. I don’t believe that I will ever stop growing or learning in this lifetime and I want to lead by example. If you attend one of my workshops, you will hear parts of my personal story, my failures and successes, and I share those things to inspire those in attendance. We can all learn so much from one another if we are brave enough to be vulnerable, open and honest.
