We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Comekyo Eiland . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Comekyo below.
Alright, Comekyo thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s talk about social media – do you manage your own or do you have someone or a company that handles it for you? Why did you make the choice you did?
I manage my own social media. It is very personal to me. I like to keep my pages educational, inspirational, motivational, fun and fresh.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am an interesting person. I like doing things different, and coming up with unique techniques and looks. I have always wanted to get into the beauty industry. It is such a wide variety of things to do. I was always curious about skincare. How it works, many different types of skin, and the science behind it all. The body alone is amazing, the skin is the topping. I am never in a rush to do anything. I like to take my time on any project, perfect my craft, and create the best solutions, that isn’t given to clients, when receiving services from any other esthetician. I am most proud of completing school, not giving up, moving forward and the many ideas I have come up with, that I can’t wait for the world to see. I am humble, hardworking. eager, positive and a bit bossy. I take my brand very seriously and strive hard to perfect anything surrounding or involving my brand. Building a brand takes patience, maturity, discipline, obedience, dedication, passion and an awesome team. Keeping God first is one of my most strongest key factors in building my brand and in everyday life.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I don’t have a large audience yet, but in time my audience will increase. I built my audience by sharing on my story, staying active, not being afraid to ask people to share and support, I also post my business page on my personal page. I am also researching ways to build my audience every second, minute, and hour of the day.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
A lesson I had to unlearn is doing things for money only. Just because it pays a lot of money, doesn’t mean it will make you happy. I experienced a few jobs that paid well, but I was miserable, stuck and unhappy. So I actually had to pray, take a step back and realize what I wanted to do in life. Now, I do what I love, and I love what I do. The passion has to be there.
