We caught up with the brilliant and insightful COLLIN MCMINN a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, COLLIN thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
NOBODY KNOWS US – PUSHING THE ENVELOPE OF UNDISCOVERED MUSICIANS TO THE SURFACE UNDER A UNIQUE LENS AND SOUND.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My goal from starting Hogleg was to just make clothing but with this obviously theres no substance there, I enjoyed making music soon after starting the brand and began to merge the two together. With a love for designing clothes and making music – why not perform and sell these clothes in person? I found similar artists that I had worked with over time, made posters and found a venue. This happened a couple more times landing us in a position to keep it going for the city.
Starting from scratch I found a love for helping artists with a unique take on a craft I love – audacious and eccentric talents need more exposure because what we see for music today is an embarrassing excuse. TikTok has really done wonders for those who need a voice but still give soulless artists a platform to rise.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
FREEDOM
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
HONESTY. TRANSPARENCY. & NOT BEING A SCUM.
