Hi Colleen, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
The business name “Bellagio” is derived from the Italian language and is associated with the famous Bellagio resort and casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The resort itself was named after the picturesque town of Bellagio in Italy, located on the shores of Lake Como.
I strongly desired the name Bellagio for my business, because it represents to me luxurious, elegant connotations associated with the Bellagio Casino, and the town in Italy. The name Bellagio evokes images of sophistication, beauty, and a high-end experience.
By adopting the name Bellagio for my business, I wanted to convey a sense of elegance, exclusivity, and high-quality services and products. I wanted to focus on providing a premium experience to my customers, akin to the reputation associated with the Bellagio resort and the town of Bellagio in Italy.

Cosmetology is a discipline that focuses on beauty and aesthetics. As a Master Cosmetologists I provide various services related to hair, and skin such as haircuts, hairstyling, coloring, makeup application, facials. I also offer beauty consultations and recommend products for personal care and grooming.
A seasoned Cosmetologists typically acquire their skills and knowledge through formal education and training at cosmetology schools, mastery training sessions or academies. I’ve learned techniques, trends, and best practices in hairstyling, skincare, makeup application, and nail care. This education was followed by obtaining a license that allows me to legally practice cosmetology.
As a cosmetologist, my primary goal is to help clients enhance their appearance and boost their confidence. Whether it’s through a fresh haircut, a stunning makeup look, or a rejuvenating facial. I strive to offer personalized services that meet my clients’ needs and desires. I aim to create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for clients while providing expert advice on maintaining their beauty routines.
I am set apart and stand out in the field of cosmetology, by staying updated with the latest trends, techniques, and industry advancements. This involves continuous learning, attending workshops, and staying connected with fellow professionals to exchange knowledge and ideas. Building a strong portfolio of satisfied clients and demonstrating creativity, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service are also crucial.
Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
Yes! Many people have turned their side hustles into full-time businesses or careers due to various factors, such as a change in circumstances, a passion for their side hustle, or the desire to pursue something they truly enjoy. The catalyst was my marital separation which led to a divorce. My whole life changed in an instance. I knew that there was a silver lining in my situation and this was my motivation for success. It’s important to note that scaling up a side hustle requires dedication, hard work, perseverance, and sometimes taking calculated risks. My biggest reward is providing a lifestyle of comfort, enjoyment and stability for my children and I. I’ve Celebrated every milestone achievements along the way, such as reaching revenue targets, securing significant clients, and expanding into new territories. Who says the darkness in your life can’t help leverage momentum and motivation for the brightest days ahead.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
The belief that Financial freedom is solely achieved by accumulating material possessions or reaching a specific income level.
Unlearned Lesson: Financial freedom is not solely determined by the size of your bank account or the number of material possessions you have. True financial freedom encompasses a broader perspective and involves factors such as financial security, peace of mind, and a healthy relationship with money. Financial freedom is about having control and flexibility over your finances, making choices aligned with your values, and being able to live the life you desire without being overly burdened by financial stress. It’s not just about the quantity of money you have, but also the quality of your financial well-being. I purposefully leverage my business to exemplify my lessons, living authentically in that purpose.
