We were lucky to catch up with Cody Digiuseppe recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Cody thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you take us back in time to the first dollar you earned as a creative – how did it happen? What’s the story?
The first dollar was actually my first $100 dollar bill. I design merchandise to go with my music. So I’m not just a rapper I sing and I design merchandise because I am a brand. So when I got into designing merchandise such as T-shirts, Hoodies, Hats and Jackets I had a few fans and supports that wanted to purchase my merchandise.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a Italian Canadian from Sarnia Ontario, who’s music personal as well as entertaining for today’s sound. I’m is skilled with and not shy about creating different styles of music but still staying true to himself. Incorporating his Italian heritage in with his music really shows that he’s a diversified artist.
I am consistently working on new music. Paying attention to my demographic and my audience is important to me. I wants his listeners to enjoy everything that I try to create and put out.
I also am not scared of being on stage , I give off great energy, engage with the crowd and overall I know how to rock the stage
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
I think for me the most rewarding part of being an artist or making music is when people hit me up or message me and tell me they like the song or they love the song. I had a fan ask me to do a music video to my song “Found A Way” because he felt that the song really resonated with him. So when people hit me up and tell me they enjoyed the song, Also seeing people come out to shows that I am performing at. Really it’s just seeing the growth and the reaction from people that is most rewarding for.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
I whole goal with my music career is to become a well known artist and a global icon. I have always loved being the center of attention and even as a kid in school I would do the talent shows because I just loved that fact that everyone was watching me. So I love the attention that comes being an artist. I also want to show my kids because i am a father of 3, (two boys & 1 girl) that through hard work dedication and time your dreams can come true.
