We were lucky to catch up with Cody Bellec recently and have shared our conversation below.
Cody, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
My mission is to help guide, educate, motivate, and inspire others to achieve a happy, fulfilling, abundant, and authentic life.
But this mission wasn’t born from success. It was born from some of the hardest moments of my life. I started my career as an engineer, and on the side, I launched a business because I wanted more for myself and for others. But things didn’t go as planned. I ended up losing my job and falling into thousands of dollars of debt in that business. I felt completely lost. Every day felt heavy, and I woke up wondering if I had ruined my life.
But in that darkness, I realized something powerful: no one was coming to save me. If I wanted to change my life, it was on me. That’s when I committed to building discipline – waking up earlier, journaling my thoughts, hitting the gym even when I didn’t want to, and pushing myself to grow no matter how hard it felt. Slowly, everything started to shift. I felt stronger, clearer, and more confident. I started building myself back up from rock bottom.
As I transformed, people around me started noticing and asking what changed. That’s when I realized my journey wasn’t just about me. I could guide others who feel lost like I once did. I could educate them on the habits and mindset shifts that helped me climb out of debt and find purpose again. I could motivate them to keep going when it feels impossible. And I could inspire them by showing the raw reality – the discipline, the setbacks, the small wins, and how it all compounds into an abundant, authentic life.
This mission is meaningful to me because I know what it feels like to lose everything and feel like there’s no way out. And I never want someone else to feel alone in that. If my story can help even one person believe in themselves again and create a life they’re proud of, then everything I’ve been through has meaning.

Cody, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Cody Bellec, and my mission is to help guide, educate, motivate, and inspire others to achieve a happy, fulfilling, abundant, and authentic life.
I started my journey as an engineer, working in a field that taught me discipline, problem-solving, and the value of precision. But deep down, I always felt called to something more – something that impacted people directly on a human level. That’s when I launched my first business. It was my attempt to build freedom for myself while helping others, but things didn’t go as planned. I ended up losing my job and falling into thousands of dollars of debt in that business. It was one of the hardest periods of my life. I felt lost, directionless, and deeply questioned my worth.
But in that darkness, I found my purpose. I realized no one was coming to save me – I had to become the person who could rebuild my life. So I committed to growth. I started waking up earlier, journaling daily, training in the gym consistently, and reframing my mindset around discipline, resilience, and service. Slowly, I built myself back up – stronger, clearer, and more aligned with who I truly am.
Today, my personal brand is rooted in sharing this journey openly. Through my content on Instagram and TikTok, I provide:
• Raw storytelling to inspire and connect with people feeling stuck or unmotivated
• Mindset education and practical frameworks to build discipline, confidence, and purpose
• Motivational content to help people take action in their daily lives
• Guidance on health, wealth, and intentional living so they can create an abundant, authentic life
What sets me apart is my honesty and loyalty. I don’t just share highlight reels; I show the reality – the struggles, the lessons, and the small wins that compound into massive change. I’m not here to pretend I have it all figured out; I’m here to walk this journey with people, showing them what’s working for me and what’s not, so they can build their own path with clarity and confidence.
I’m most proud of the fact that despite losing everything, I never gave up. I kept moving forward, and now I’m using everything I’ve learned to help others unlock their true potential.
If there’s one thing I want people to know about me and my brand, it’s this: You already have everything within you to create the life you want. My role is to help you see it, believe it, and take action to live it fully.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
One of the biggest tests of my resilience was when I lost my engineering job and fell into thousands of dollars of debt from a business I started.
At that time, I felt like my entire identity had been ripped away. I went from being the “successful engineer with a bright future” to someone who couldn’t pay bills, was drowning in debt, and felt completely lost. I remember waking up every morning with this heavy feeling in my chest, thinking, “How did I end up here? And how am I ever going to get out?”
But it was in that darkness that I truly found my strength. I realized no one was coming to save me. If I wanted to change my life, it was up to me. So I started small. I woke up earlier, even though I felt exhausted. I began journaling every morning to get my thoughts out of my head and onto paper. I went to the gym consistently, even when I felt weak and unmotivated. I educated myself on discipline, mindset, health, and finances – anything that would make me stronger.
I also started meditating because I noticed how reactive I was to life. I was always stressed, anxious, and letting my emotions control my actions. Meditation helped me pause and become proactive rather than reactive. It grounded me so I could respond to life with intention instead of just reacting out of fear or anger.
It wasn’t easy. There were days I questioned if it was even worth it. But every time I got knocked down, I reminded myself that staying down wasn’t an option. Slowly, things started to shift. My mind felt clearer. My confidence began to come back. Opportunities started appearing again. I built myself back up – not just to where I was before, but beyond that. I became someone who no longer tied my worth to my job title or bank account, but to the discipline, honesty, and resilience I live with every day.
That experience showed me that resilience isn’t just about bouncing back – it’s about becoming stronger because of what tried to break you. And now, I use that lesson to help guide, educate, motivate, and inspire others who feel like they’re at rock bottom, to show them that it’s possible to build a life they’re proud of – no matter how hopeless it feels right now.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I started building my social media audience by simply sharing my journey. At first, I didn’t have a strategy. I just felt called to share what I was learning about discipline, mindset, health, and life. I’d post about my workouts, my thoughts on resilience, or lessons from my own setbacks. I didn’t care about views or likes in the beginning – I just wanted to document my growth and maybe help one person feel less alone.
But as I stayed consistent, I realized that people were resonating with my honesty. They weren’t just looking for tips; they wanted real stories and authentic reminders that growth is messy, and that’s okay.
That’s when I started being more intentional. I studied what worked – what types of hooks grabbed attention, how to format captions, what style of videos people rewatched. I began focusing on storytelling and giving practical value within my content. I also made sure to engage back – replying to comments, sharing deeper thoughts in DMs, and building a real community rather than just chasing numbers.
If I could give advice to anyone starting out, it would be this:
1. Be real – Don’t try to be perfect. Share the truth of your journey because people connect with real humans, not highlight reels.
2. Stay consistent – Growth doesn’t come from one viral post; it comes from showing up every day even when it feels like no one is watching.
3. Provide value – Whether it’s inspiration, education, or motivation, always think: What can someone take away from this?
4. Study and adapt – Social media is a skill. Analyze what works for others, test it in your own voice, and keep learning.
5. Know your why – If you’re only posting for followers or likes, you’ll burn out fast. Know why your message matters, and let that fuel you.
At the end of the day, social media is just a tool. What truly builds an audience is the energy and intention you put behind your content. People feel that. So show up with authenticity, service, and a mindset of growth – and the right people will find you.
