Coaco, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
My mission is to walk in my purpose. Make money in my sleep. I want to run successful & lucrative companies.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Thank you for having me! I’m Coaco The Entertainer , just call me Coaco , I’m from Baton Rouge Louisiana. I’m an Entrepreneur, business owner and Author of the Novel Forever A Strong Young Woman, I’m also the Mother of a beautiful and amazing daughter. Coaco The Entertainer is a Personality Entertainer, Event Host, Author, Influencer, Content Creator, just a jack of all trades. Besides being Coaco The Entertainer, i have two businesses under my belt. I started my first business in 2015. Clean The Scene Cleaning Service is a commercial and residential janitorial service, We are located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I started my second business in 2020 it’s a beauty businesss called Not Ya Ordinary Lady, we offer Eyelashes, eyelash products, cosmetic services and scented candles. I started my janitorial business because i didnt want to work for anyone, i wanted to be my own boss, set my own hours and spend more time with my daughter , i wasnt getting that on my 9-5. When my first business started doing well and running itself i decided to launch my second business. When i started my career as Personality Entertainer i started with Content Creating but that’s not what it was called back then, i did stand up comedy but i didnt feel fulfilled on that path, i took a break due to personal issues and when i got back i tried performing virtually but i still wasnt feeling it so i decided to write a book, a Novel called “Forever A Strong Young Woman” it is available for preorder and it will be officially live May 7. 2025.
Can you open up about how you funded your business?
I actually took my own personal funds to fund my business. I saved, i made contributions to my business account.
Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
I started my business during a time i absolutely new nothing about business. I ran my business during a time when there wasnt any coaches, mater classes or eBooks. When i started i was working in the medical field as a Personal Care Aide and the clients always wanted to me clean up so i decided to start my own cleaning business, i wouldnt exactly say i was passionate about the business i started but i was definitely passionate about being my own boss, making my own money and doing something myself.
