We were lucky to catch up with Coach Ed recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Coach thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?

I pray that my legacy will be one of helping people to make wiser decisions to help them find love. These ‘wiser decisions,’ begin with the person. I am to help people better understand themselves and past traumas, so that they can heal and demand more from the people they allow in their lives.

I work hard to help people mold their perspectives of self. TV, movies and ‘love stories have warped the reality of love. What it is, what it isn’t and even where you find it! I had so many people scared to try (or frustrated with) online dating, so I created a tool to help my clients do so! It’s very fulfilling to speak with happy clients that found success (quickly, btw), with my Bum Repellent Guide to Online Dating. I know the pain people go thru when dating, and I am to make the process much quicker AND fun!

Coach, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I’m Coach Ed. I began relationship coaching via TikTok in 2020. Not only have I earned multiple degrees in human behavior, I grew up the son of a [psychologist, Ph.D. father. I know first-hand how hard dating, heartbreak and marriage can be. I also know that many relationship problems begin with a lack of understanding and/or empathy for a person’s partner,..but there are also instances where people are being taken advantage of. I use my platform to provide clarity to people. Finding healthy love is already difficult enough!

I am most proud of the myriad clients I have helped to leave unhealthy relationships. I am proud of the broken hearts I was able to put back together.

Readers should know that if we decide to take them on as a client, they will do some serious work on themselves. Finding healthy love takes effort. But so does finding gold, diamonds, oil–or anything that is precious. Love is no different.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

That the customer isn’t always right. Upbringing and movies have warped people’s understanding of what it takes to find love, keep love, and function in love. At some point, the butterflies dissipate. If there is no foundation of friendship, spirituality, respect, patience and laughter–the relationship will probably suffer.

How did you build your audience on social media?

I built my audience by giving. them useful information as often as possible. By regularly giving my followers tips and dating red flag warnings, I demonstrated my understanding of the human dynamic. For example, I have a lot of people that are divorced and re-entering the the dating scene— so I created tools like the Daying After Divorce course, or the 40 Day New Me Plan to help them on their journey of reclaiming themselves. I showmyself and my brand as the trusted expert in the category.
