Cloud, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s jump right into how you came up with the idea?
The idea for CloudHeads started back when I was in 8th grade, during a time when COVID had deeply affected me mentally. I began journaling to cope, trying to get my thoughts out and make sense of everything going on. After a while, though, I realized I wanted a more creative way to express myself, something that felt deeper and more abstract. That’s when I turned to poetry. Writing poems gave me a way to work through my feelings in a way that wasn’t so direct but still allowed me to release what I was going through.
Fast forward to 10th grade, I had emerged from the toughest parts of my depression and started enjoying life again. But I never forgot what it felt like to be in that dark place, with very little support. I knew there were so many people out there who were struggling just like I had been, and I wanted to offer them something I never really had—a form of support and guidance. That’s when the idea for CloudHeads was born. I thought, why not share the poems I had written, in the hope that they might bring comfort or help someone else through their own struggles?
I started posting my poetry on TikTok and Instagram, not really knowing where it would go but hoping that at least a handful of people who may randomly come across them may feel a bit more cheerful. Slowly, the number of followers I had started to grow. As more people found my content, I began receiving messages from people who told me how much my work had helped them, mentally and emotionally. Those messages showed me that I was doing something worthwhile. Helping others through tough times, especially when I could relate so closely, was incredibly fulfilling. The growth of CloudHeads didn’t just come from a passion for writing but from a deeper desire to make a difference.
Now, with over 50,000 followers, I feel so grateful for the journey. Every time someone reaches out to say that one of my poems has touched them or helped them feel less alone, it reminds me that this was the right path to take. It’s not just about sharing my creativity—it’s about offering hope, and that’s what drives me forward every day.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’ve always been drawn to self-expression, but CloudHeads really allowed me to transform that into something impactful. As a content creator, my work focuses on more than just poetry—it’s about offering a form of emotional guidance and connection, especially for those who might feel like they’re going through hard times alone.
My poems aren’t just written for the sake of art, but to spark thought, reflection, and healing. By sharing my own experiences and emotions through abstract yet relatable poetry, I strive to give my followers a way to process their feelings in a more personal, introspective manner.
I have always loved clouds, they would go wherever I go and kept me from feeling lonely. It gives me a peace of mind to just look up at clouds and take in a deep breath, letting go of all my worries and feeling reassured by their pure existence. They were free, floating wherever they would like. I wanted my poems to be the clouds of my followers, giving them support and make them feel less isolated. This is where the name CloudHeads came from.
What I’m proud of is how CloudHeads has become a safe space for people, somewhere they can find comfort and support. Somewhere where they can live freely in the clouds. For anyone considering joining the CloudHeads community, I’d want them to know that it’s a place of authenticity, where their emotions are not only heard but valued. Whether someone is looking for creative inspiration, a relatable story, or simply a space to feel less alone, CloudHeads is designed to offer all of that. I believe that’s what truly sets my poems apart—it’s not just content, it’s a shared experience.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
When I first decided to share my poems online, it felt like stepping into the unknown. These weren’t just words on paper; they were some of my most personal thoughts and emotions, pieces of me that I had kept private for so long. Putting them out there for anyone to see felt incredibly intimidating. I remember the moments before I posted my first poem—I hesitated, thinking about how vulnerable I would be, exposed to the judgment or criticism of complete strangers.
There was a lot of fear. What if people didn’t connect with what I had written? What if they dismissed my work as just another social media post or, worse, ridiculed it? I had poured so much of myself into my writing that the idea of someone not understanding or appreciating it felt terrifying. It was like opening up a part of me that I had always kept protected, and the thought of it being rejected made me question whether I should share it at all.
But, in that moment of doubt, I reminded myself why I started writing in the first place—to help others who might be feeling the same things I had gone through. I realized that if my words could reach even one person, it would be worth the risk of vulnerability. Pushing past that fear and insecurity was a defining moment for me, teaching me that resilience is not just about facing challenges but also about embracing your own truth, even when it feels scary.
As soon as I hit “post,” the anxiety didn’t disappear, but it began to ease as I saw people connecting with my words. Sometimes the things that make us feel most exposed are also the things that connect us with others the most. Till this day, I am incredibly grateful for the decision I made and the impact I have seen from it.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a content creator for me is the direct connection I’ve built with my audience. It’s about receiving heartfelt messages from people who’ve been genuinely impacted by what I share, and that’s an incredible feeling. The DMs I receive are often filled with personal stories—people telling me how my poems and experiences have helped them through a tough day or a difficult chapter of their lives.
Knowing that my poems have reached someone at just the right time, offering comfort or clarity, brings a level of satisfaction that’s hard to describe. It’s not just the numbers or likes that matter, but those real, tangible interactions where someone says, “This saved me.” Each message is a reminder of why I started CloudHeads in the first place. It reinforces that what I’m doing goes beyond creative expression—it’s about making a positive, lasting difference in someone else’s life. That kind of impact is what keeps me going.
