We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Clinton Cox a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Clinton thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I was headed down a dark path of binge drinking on the weekends before music was brought into my life. Had a great friend of mine party with us and mention that I had a good flow and rap voice over the top of other artist. Within a couple months he brought over some recording equipment and I’ve never looked back since.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
What’s going on everybody? I’m Big Husk 1/2 of KBH the Prodigies a rap tandem from Kansas City MO! We got a wide variety of hip hop songs. Everything from bangers to heartfelt family struggles and real life. I want people to take a listen for themselves I truly feel like our discography of music has a little something for everyone. Songs like 3 AM and Need You are great sounds for anyone going through a breakup. Jet pack and Pro Mode are great pump up gym songs and so many other vibes. If your passionate about anything in life please go for it. You never know what’s on the other side of dedication.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Yes. I genuinely love Hip Hop music and I always have since I was a child. So my main goal and mission for creating is to inspire. I want to inspire any and all people to put there heart into something. Since 16 my family took in 3 younger siblings and I’ve always wanted what’s best for them. I always wanna lead and show them that they can do and be anything they want. I come from nothing and want to give back to all the people that have supported and invested in me.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
From my preteen years to the end of high school there was always a vision of me playing football at a higher level. It was all of nothing so I had to be resilient and find another path when that all ended. I think a lot of younger people get caught with all their eggs in those type of baskets and I think it’s easy for families to get behind that. I’m out here to let people know that it’s just as important to put support in your kids artist dreams as well. Sports are crucial and important but there comes an end to all those athletic days. Well with music and all other forms of art you can do it forever.
