We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Clinton Cohen Iii. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Clinton below.
Clinton, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
My mission is simple but powerful: to empower entrepreneurs to build stunning websites, grow their brands, and reclaim their health, one step at a time. This mission is deeply personal, rooted in my own journey of balancing entrepreneurship, health, and family.
After surviving two heart attacks—one in 2015 and another in 2020—I gained a new perspective on life and work. I learned the value of time, stewardship, and focusing on what truly matters: health, family, and faith. It’s not just about building businesses; it’s about creating systems that support your goals while making space for your well-being.
I see so many entrepreneurs—driven and passionate—struggling to balance their ambitions with their health. My mission reflects my personal transformation. I’m not just helping others build websites or grow brands; I’m helping them reclaim their time and prioritize the bigger picture. Success doesn’t have to come at the cost of health or happiness. For me, every project and community I lead is about empowering others to thrive, both personally and professionally.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am the founder of Upper Echelon Technologies and the STRIDE Together Facebook Community. My journey into the tech and wellness industries began with a passion for technology and a personal wake-up call to prioritize health. Surviving two heart attacks taught me the importance of creating systems that integrate work, health, and family in a sustainable way.
Through Upper Echelon Technologies, I help entrepreneurs transform their websites from simple showcases into powerful sales machines. By combining creativity and strategy, I craft digital solutions that communicate my clients’ value, connect with their audiences, and drive growth. Meanwhile, my STRIDE Together Community empowers entrepreneurs to prioritize their health with manageable steps—like walking 10,000 steps a day—while building consistency and accountability.
What sets me apart is my holistic approach. I don’t just provide websites or wellness tips; I create systems and communities that help clients excel in all areas of life. I’m most proud of the transformations I’ve witnessed—seeing clients grow their businesses while reclaiming their health and time.
The main takeaway I want people to have is that success doesn’t have to come at the cost of well-being. My work is about helping others find that balance and build a life where ambition and health coexist harmoniously.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the biggest lessons I had to unlearn was the idea that success requires sacrificing your health and personal life. Early in my career, I believed that relentless hustle and long hours were the only way to achieve my goals. I equated busyness with productivity and thought I could “make up for lost time” later.
That mindset came crashing down after I suffered two heart attacks. Those life-altering moments forced me to confront the reality that I couldn’t keep running on empty. I realized that true success isn’t just about professional achievements—it’s about creating a sustainable, fulfilling life where your health, relationships, and faith aren’t neglected.
Unlearning this belief wasn’t easy. It took time to redefine what success meant to me and to build systems that allowed me to work smarter, not harder. Now, I prioritize balance and encourage others to do the same through my STRIDE Together Community and the frameworks I share with entrepreneurs. I’ve learned that taking care of yourself isn’t a distraction from success; it’s the foundation of it.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
One story that truly captures my resilience is from the aftermath of my second heart attack in 2020. I was physically weak, emotionally drained, and overwhelmed with fear about my future. My first thought was that my family might have to live without me, and that fear weighed heavily on me. It felt like everything I had worked for was at risk. But in that moment of vulnerability, I made a choice: I wouldn’t let this define or defeat me.
I started small. Each day, I would take short walks, even if it was just to the end of my driveway. It wasn’t much, but it was a step forward—both physically and mentally. Gradually, those short walks turned into miles, and those miles turned into a daily habit of walking 10,000 steps. That habit not only rebuilt my strength but also became the foundation of the STRIDE Together Community.
Resilience, to me, isn’t about bouncing back quickly; it’s about showing up consistently, even when things feel impossible. That period of my life taught me that progress often starts with the smallest steps. Now, when I see members of the STRIDE Together Community embracing the same small, consistent steps toward better health, I’m reminded of the power of resilience and the impact it can have on every area of life.
