We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Clifford Hayes Jr a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Clifford , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think it takes to be successful?
I personally believe that in order to become successful you have to remain consistent & persistent to pursuing your craft. There will be times when things don’t go your way and times when things go really well.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I got into the Fashion industry after a wrongful termination from the industrial construction industry.
The Fashion Industry can be tricky, you have to stay relevant with staying Creative and up to date with the latest fashion trends as well.
I like to see people feel good and the fashion products I create allows people to dress well and feel good about themselves.
I believe my creativity sets me apart from others in the industry I have a unique creative style which is different from the others in the industry.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Yes I had the opportunity to open a brick & mortar location in Dec 2020 and unfortunately had to close doors in April 2022.
Running a business from a establishment requires a lot of work and I only had a few helping hands with that.I personality believe i did my best job for long as I could Day in and Day out with the given circumstances.
After Closing down store 17 months later, I decided to take a break for about 5 months I was exhausted from day to day operations and single handling things.
During the break I realized I came to far to quit. I needed to practice some perseverance in order to keep business moving forward. My resilient kicked in and I pivoted to doing outside/ indoor pop up markets and providing online services as well.

Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?
I’ve had to do a lot of hard work to get the business started . I took the funds from my various industrial construction gigs and started the business.
My projecta would last 4-8 weeks at a time and I would set aside 25% of my weekly earnings towards getting business started.
