We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Clayton Dir. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Clayton below.
Clayton, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you recount a time when the advice you provided to a client was really spot on? (Please note this response is for education/entertainment purposes only and shouldn’t be construed as advice for the reader)
ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF
When it comes to life in general, but in my world the medical field, it’s so incredibly important to stand up for yourself and demand better.
I believe that most people who come into the medical world as a patient, they take the first diagnosis, opinion, etc. at face value and roll with it. They don’t ask enough questions, they don’t question the doctor or provider, and they don’t follow up with their own quick research.
This is incredibly important and something I instill in every client/patient I work with.
Client’s will say in their evaluation “I know I shouldnt, but I googled my symptoms and…… ”
This is one of my favorite things to hear! It lets me know he or she is invested in the outcome, making sure goals are met, and I usually follow up with “That’s great! What did you find? What about that diagnosis resonates with you? What did you type into the search bar and why?”
Whenever you have a problem, you are going to start asking friends, family, and the internet for solutions. You probably have a goal in mind or a result you are looking for. Don’t have horse-blinders on, only looking for biased answers, but also don’t take that first opinion and stop searching. Make sure you are getting the best results possible for your goals .
P.S. The best plan for you may NOT be covered by insurance. You may have to pay out of pocket. When you see behind the current of the medical system, you’ll find that insurance companies don’t always “have your back”

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am Clayton Dir, a Doctor of Physical Therapy, and an advocate for healing with the least invasive appraoch possible.
I started into Physical Therapy to help people through the entire plan of care so they can finish pain-free, with a better understanding of their own body and how to take care of it, and able to help others in their life with the lessons they’ve learned.
As I started seeing patterns in the pain that my client would have, I realized something bigger is at play. People don’t sleep enough or well enough, they don’t eat enough protein, they don’t manage stress well, they don’t stay hydrated, simply they aren’t sticking to the Four Pillars of Health very well.
With this in mind, I realized speaking to the masses is best! When people search for an answer, I should be putting out content for them to find!
I started a TikTok in 2021 and have gained 125,000+ followers, started a podcast called ‘Heal Without Harm’ in 2025, helped grow the clinic Natural Wellness Physiotherapy into 2 locations in Wichita, KS and 3 providers with numerous specialites of PT, and really changed the Health and Wellness Landscape in Wichita, KS.
We focus on clients who want to take an active role in their health. We usually see clients who haven’t been able to find answers or results with other doctors, surgeons, ortho’s, chiropractors, PTs, etc. We see clients who want to run marathons, ultra marathons, do strongman competitions, crawl with their grandkids, or just stand up without pain.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Getting out and meeting people. It’s slow, it’s hard, and it requires getting comfortable being uncomfortable.
However, it builds relationships that true and deep and makes it to where I am developing a network of people that will be lasting. I’ve set up shop at various competitions, health fairs, doctors offices, running groups, spa’s, etc.
Another thing is social media with facebook, instagram, and tiktok. Posting consistenly and improving content has been challenging and evolving, but really good at pushing my name out to the masses.

We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
Courtney Morse, who owns Natural Wellness Physiotherapy, is someone I met through a Clinical Instructor of mine. During a rotation as a student PT, I was constantly talking about my frustrations with how most traditional PT works and why I don’t like it and the dream I had for how I want to work with patients.
After a couple of weeks of working with my instructor, she said that she knew a guy that I should go do an observation with and get to know. That was Courtney, months after he started Natural Wellness Physiotherapy. I kept asking to come back and observe and THANKFULLY he was ready to hire at the time I was graduating.
That was five years ago now, and I have became Clinical Director, helped hire 2 more physical therapists, and grow into 2 locations since then.
Back to how I said I’ve built clientele, it’s getting out and meeting people, talking to people, stating my mission, and asking for helping in achieving it.
People want to hlep and they want to be apart of something bigger, but you must be vocal about it in order to grow!
