We were lucky to catch up with Claudine Pierre-Louis recently and have shared our conversation below.
Claudine, appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
Logan Alcosiba, a transgender woman, wrote a short film titled, Amid the Noise & Haste. It’s a film about a trans woman who tries to regain her sense of security through voice feminization therapy, but amid naysayers and her own self scrutiny she struggles and yearns to find a true voice of her own. Claudine Pierre-Louis, owner of Clawreigna Production, is producing this film with the Vice President of her company, Faith Stanton. This film was directed by director and photographer, Julie Goldstone in January 2025.
Drawing from her own experiences and the overall struggle of her community, Logan wrote, Amid the Noise and Haste, to shed light on the prejudice and gender dysphoria trans women often face with their voice. She wants this film to bring visibility to a topic that isn’t talked about enough or ever.
Claudine and Faith, jumped on the project with great enthusiasm and passion to bring awareness to an important subject that has the power to inspire others to find their voice, their strength, and their truth. At Clawreigna Production, we’re deeply drawn to work that challenges both societal norms and the boundaries of the film industry. We don’t just tell stories, we advocate through them. Our mission is rooted in inclusivity and authenticity, always. We’re proud to provide a platform for underrepresented voices and are committed to creating space for stories that reflect the richness and diversity of our world.
Claudine, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Claudine Pierre-Louis, and I’m the CEO and Founder of Clawreigna Production, a company built on the belief that storytelling is a powerful force for connection, truth, and transformation. We’re driven by a commitment to inclusivity, authenticity, and storytelling that resonates. I’m a proud Haitian American and a multi-hyphenate artist: writer, director, producer, actress, singer, and dancer. Yes, I wear many hats, each one allowing me to explore different sides of the human experience.
I grew up between Miami, Florida and Bogart, Georgia, and moved to Los Angeles at 19 with nothing but a dream and a drive to make meaningful art. Over the years, I’ve served on the screening committee for the Austin Film Festival, and the Reading Committee for Nashville Film Festival and The Big Apple Film Festival, experiences that deepened my love for story and my commitment to elevating unique voices.
At Clawreigna Production, we’re driven by a commitment to inclusivity, authenticity, and storytelling that resonates. Clawreigna Production was born from my desire to create space for voices often overlooked or misunderstood. Whether it’s through the lens of body positivity, the lgbtga+ community, anti-bullying/cyberbullying, or mental health awareness, I want my work to be a source of light for those who feel stuck in the dark. But our work isn’t limited to any one tone or genre. We also love diving into stories that are playful, unexpected, or simply created to spark joy. To us, what matters most is intention, that every project we take on reflects something real, whether it’s through laughter, reflection, or pure imagination. We don’t just make films, we spark conversations.
What sets us apart is our ability to hold space for it all, the thought-provoking, the celebratory, the quietly powerful. Our unwavering commitment to inclusivity and truth. We’re not afraid to challenge the status quo, and we always lead with heart. I’m most proud of the fact that people feel seen through our work, that they walk away feeling empowered, uplifted, or simply reminded that they’re not alone. I’m so happy with the work we’ve done and even more excited about what’s to come. At the end of the day, Clawreigna Production is about more than just creating content, it’s about using art as a tool for healing, connection, and change. That’s the legacy I’m building, one story at a time.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
For Logan specifically, screenwriting and acting is about storytelling. She is inspired to tell stories that move and uplift people. As a trans woman of color, she’s always struggled to feel represented in the media. There is so much untapped potential to tell the stories and experiences of underrepresented people. Amid the Noise and Haste, shares that experience of feeling silenced and yearning to speak. It’s a film about wanting to be heard and wanting to be yourself. Logan hopes to create more films like it that empower people to find their voice. Overall, her goal is to build a community that uplifts and unites everyone to be authentically as they are. This is just the beginning of her journey as a creator.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
For me, Claudine, Keke Palmer’s The Master of Me is an absolute work of art. I recently read it and was genuinely moved by her honesty, self-reflection, and empowering voice. It felt like a conversation with someone who truly gets it, the highs, the doubts, the grit it takes to show up for yourself and your dreams. Her words reminded me of who I am, and more importantly, who I’m continuing to become.
It’s a must-read for any artist and honestly, for anyone who’s navigating their purpose and trying to stay true to themselves along the way.
If you’re reading this and you’ve got a script in your head, a film you want to make, a comedy set you’ve been holding back on, or even a message you’ve been meaning to send, do it. Lean into what scares you. That’s where the growth is. You’ve got this.
With much love, Claudine.
