As I reflect on my journey, I am reminded that makeup was not just a passion, but an escape and therapy that helped me become stronger and ultimately, break free from the environment of violence that once surrounded me.

Growing up in a household plagued by domestic violence, I often felt lost and powerless. However, when I discovered makeup, everything changed. The transformative power of beauty became my solace, my confidence booster, and my ticket to a new beginning.

This newfound passion led me to pursue a career in makeup artistry. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with top designers, celebrities, and models in the fashion and beauty industries. My expertise has taken me to prestigious events like New York Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week, and Milan Fashion Week.

As the CEO of Latinas Glam, I provide high-end makeup and hair services to clients seeking bespoke looks for fashion shows, editorials, celebrities, and special events. My team and I take pride in delivering exceptional, personalized experiences that exceed our clients’ expectations.

What sets me apart is my personal story and the purpose that drives my brand. As a survivor of domestic violence, I am committed to empowering other women who have faced similar experiences. Through our program, “Beauty for a New Beginning,” we provide training and education in makeup and hair artistry, equipping women with the skills and confidence to start anew and support themselves.

I still remember the day my beauty instructor told me I wasn’t cut out for makeup. She humiliated me in front of my class, throwing my brush aside because it was from Marshall’s, an affordable store. Her words cut deep, but I refused to let them define me.

As a survivor of mental abuse, I knew what it meant to be broken. But I also knew what it meant to rise above. I channeled my pain into passion, dedicating myself to mastering the art of makeup.

Today, I’m proud to be the CEO of Latinas Glam, a beauty empire that empowers women to unleash their inner strength and beauty. My story is a testament to the power of resilience and determination.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

“As a makeup artist and CEO of Latinas Glam, my creative journey is fueled by a profound mission: to revolutionize the beauty industry by promoting inclusivity, diversity, and empathy.

Having faced discrimination myself due to my appearance, weight, and background, I understand the struggles that many makeup artists encounter. This is why I am committed to creating opportunities for all HMUAs, regardless of their race, height, weight, sexuality, or nationality.

My goal is to break down barriers and challenge the status quo in the beauty industry. I envision a community where every makeup artist feels valued, respected, and empowered to succeed.
