We were lucky to catch up with Claudia Miles recently and have shared our conversation below.
Claudia, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
The 3D Skin Studio had several names before I arrived here. ‘3-Dimensional Skin Studio’ initially referred to the layers of the skin. However, on a more profound level, ‘3D’ prompts us to consider the skin from various dimensions and to approach the individual holistically. It encourages us to consider and address them from multiple angles.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Claudia Miles, and I am a licensed esthetician and the founder of the 3D Skin Studio. I have been in the industry for over eight years where my focus has been corrective skincare from a holistic perspective. At the 3D Skin Studio, we believe that every individual deserves to have healthy, glowing, and beautiful skin. I grew up believing that the skin is a window to the body’s overall health. That’s why I am dedicated to providing my clients with the most advanced and personalized skincare solutions, using the latest proactive and optimal skincare technology.

Have you ever had to pivot?
When I started my journey as an entrepreneur, I was working as a makeup artist. I had left art school and ventured into a different field, using my talents to build up a loyal customer base. However, something felt off. I realized that I was merely covering up my clients’ imperfections with makeup and that it was doing more harm than good. Applying primer, foundation, and powder to cover up acne only worsened the skin condition, and I felt like I could do more to help my clients. That’s when I decided to pivot my career path. While taking a makeup certification course, I met an esthetician who introduced me to the idea of healing the skin underneath the makeup. This sparked a new passion within me, and I knew that I wanted to focus on this aspect of beauty.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
Initially, keeping in touch with my clients was quite challenging for me. In the beginning, I only sent individual reminders to my clients regarding their upcoming appointments, and that was it. I was a bit nervous and unsure of how to build a relationship with my clients. However, as I became more confident in my skills, I started reaching out to them more organically. I went from sending reminders via text messages to making update phone calls and sending emails. This helped me foster better relationships with my clients, and they began to associate the 3D Skin Studio with a place that goes above and beyond. As a result, when they share their experiences with their friends, family, and colleagues, new clients know they can expect excellent service and a partner in their healing journey.
