We were lucky to catch up with Claudia Giovine recently and have shared our conversation below.
Claudia, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
After over 30 years in Corporate America, I witnessed firsthand how many professionals operate on autopilot—disconnected, unfulfilled, and often dreading their workdays. True job satisfaction is rare, not because people lack talent, but because they lack inspired leadership.
Leaders should do more than manage—they should recognize strengths, nurture growth, and ignite potential.
After enduring three years under toxic leadership and ultimately being laid off, I discovered my true calling: to champion a new kind of leadership—one rooted in emotional intelligence, purpose, and humanity.
No one should have to endure what I did. My mission is to help build workplaces where people feel seen, empowered, and excited to grow—and to help professionals reconnect with their purpose, rediscover their potential, and become their best selves.
We need more conscious leaders. We need more fulfilled professionals. And I’m here to help create both

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I spent over 30 years in a fast-paced corporate environment, leading high-performing teams while constantly traveling and raising two children on my own. For a long time, I pushed through stress and kept going, but eventually I hit a point where I realized—something had to change. I was successful on paper, but I didn’t feel fulfilled or grounded.
That’s when yoga found me. It came into my life at just the right moment, through what I can only describe as a series of beautiful synchronicities. As I began practicing, and later studying mindfulness, Ayurveda, and emotional resilience, everything started to shift. I began to feel more balanced, more at peace—mentally, physically, and emotionally. Even in a high-pressure environment, I was able to lead with more clarity and calm, rather than stress and burnout.
When I was laid off during the COVID pandemic, I took it as a sign to fully embrace my calling. I became certified as a Yoga Teacher, a HeartMath Building Personal Resilience Mentor, and later as a Leadership and Executive Coach. I now combine all these tools—mindfulness, emotional regulation, empowered leadership, and holistic wellness—into the work I do with others.
My services are designed to help professionals not only perform better, but feel better—more aligned, more present, more connected to themselves and their purpose. Whether it’s through mentorship, leadership coaching, or wellness programs, I support people in becoming their most resilient, empowered, and fulfilled selves.
Because at the end of the day, we can’t lead others effectively if we’re not well ourselves. My goal is to help people reconnect with their strength and lead from a place of wholeness.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
Yes, one book that has had a profound impact on me is The 15 Commitments of Conscious Leadership. It offers powerful insights into self-awareness and how our reactions shape our leadership. What stood out to me is the concept of ‘leading above the line’—operating from a place of curiosity, responsibility, and presence—and the importance of recognizing when we fall below that line into reactivity or defensiveness. The book not only helps you identify those moments but also equips you with tools to shift back into a more conscious, intentional state. It’s been instrumental in how I show up both personally and professionally

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
A few years ago, I had the privilege of leading a team of nine exceptional professionals. We worked hard, delivered results, and built a strong sense of collaboration and trust. However, behind the scenes, I was navigating a very different challenge—reporting to someone I now recognize as a toxic leader.
This individual valued loyalty to him over actual performance. In my first week reporting to him, he asked me to promote one of his close friends—not based on merit, but on personal ties. I respectfully declined. I believed then, as I do now, that integrity and fairness must guide leadership decisions.
That moment marked the beginning of a long and difficult chapter. For nearly three years, I faced constant scrutiny, undermining comments, and even attempts to terminate my role. But despite the pressure, my performance remained consistently above expectations. I stayed focused on my team, on results, and on leading with values rather than fear.
It wasn’t easy. But those years taught me what true resilience looks like—not just enduring hardship, but staying aligned with your values even when it costs you comfort. It shaped the leader I am today: principled, people-centered, and unafraid to stand up for what’s right, even in the face of adversity
