We recently connected with Claudia Barattolo and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Claudia thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
The definition of “Legacy” is something that is passed on. But legacy can take many forms. A legacy maybe of a person’s ethics, faith, core values, monetary or your assets. Your character maybe a legacy, reputation and the life you lead – leading/setting an example for others and to guide them in their life path. The greatest legacy I want to leave behind is one that has positively impacted others life, mentored them in becoming the best version of themselves regardless of the hurdles that life throws at them. To believe and to trust the process with patience is some thing that I had to learn the hard way but it’s not impossible and to achieve goals if you truly put your mind to it.

Claudia , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I worked in Vienna starting my career at the United Nations, then Press Office for Deutsche Bank in London and eventually transitioned to Fashion focusing on Client Relations and Retail Management for Miu Miu in Hong Kong, Giorgio Armani, Emporio Armani, Armani Exchange in NYC and Prada.
I have a proven record in business development, managing partnerships with executives, high-profile VICs, organizations and global elected officials.
I have developed training materials and executed Client Journey trainings for the teams across the US and I enjoy to mentor team members on all aspects of the Brand.
I studied Criminology in London, was awarded the certificate of Coaching Signature Service of Excellence and the International Society of Female Professionals recognized Claudia as an honored member who has demonstrated excellence, perseverance, and ascended the summit of professional accomplishment.
Having said the above one thing that I believe is where I shine the most is when it comes to people’s interactions, wether is during social settings, training the team on client journey, work meetings with clients/colleagues and my private life. Over all it boils down to the the human touch and understanding humans as whole.
I love creativity and to be able to inspire others through that. Last but not least “Diversity and Inclusion” is my motto.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
A key moment in the journey of luxury consumption happens during the in-store experience. To create value for multifaceted and demanding
luxury customers beyond product, brands must strive to provide
exceptional experiences. Brands can achieve these experiences by laying
the foundations to create strong emotions and invest in client
relationships. In this regard, luxury store teams play a strategic role in
achieving this targeted outcome.
Apart from reaching sales goals and commercial key performance
indicators (KPIs), store teams need to represent the brand and deliver
outstanding services. This can be achieved by sharing brand and product
knowledge, by providing an elevated quality of service and personalized
recommendations, and creating long-term relationships with customers.
Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
There isn’t a great deal I will say about this as I believe it’s very “simple. Some thing I have learned in my career is to listen. Listening to your team members is a crucial aspect of being a “Mentor” as I prefer to call it. Communication, empathy and caring goes a very long way and ultimately creates a positive work environment with a strong element of loyalty. All these factors will have incredible results in your business. “If you actions inspire others to dream more, do more and become more, you are a leader” John Quincy Adams
