We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Claudia Alzate a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Claudia, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers?
I’m from Colombia and arrive in the US in my early twenties with my daughter and had just gotten married. I didn’t speak any English, so I had to start from scratch, learning a new language and new culture. Fifteen-year later, I started working for a bank as a business representative and found my passion for working with other people. I decided to get my realtor license in 2021 and I became a real estate agent this gave me the opportunity to help my clients, friends, and colleagues find their dream homes.
I am also a practitioner of yoga and meditation. I love supporting others and I have been practicing being a life coach, to support individuals to get what they are looking for.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Throughout my life I have faced many challenges that have allowed me to grow in specific areas. When I moved to the US in 1997, I didn’t know what my future had in store for me. For the past eleven years I was working as a business representative for a bank and after so long I realized that’s not what I wanted to do anymore. I realized that my passion for helping others was calling for me to go in a different direction. When I got into real estate it was a new field of work which took adapting and adjusting, but I was open to the challenges and new opportunists I was going to face. I absolutely love what I do and am grateful for all the people and opportunities that brought me here.
How did you build your audience on social media?
In this day and age, social media is one of the best platforms for promoting yourself and your company. When I first got into the real estate industry, I began following other real estate agent accounts, I would communicate with them and build a relationship. The biggest success that I have found about social media is making it all about the people, my clients, and making them feel like a priority. I began to consistently post tips on home ownership, house showings, and happy clients. I think what is most beneficial to making your social media platform successful is keeping your audience satisfied.
